1.4m on shipped would not suggest the overshipping exaggerations of late.

1.9m on shelves this time of year this late in the gen is looooads

Especially with a new SKU (The Star Wars one) launching a week later. I just quoted you 3 times in a row.

--> MS did not overship the Xbox 360 in 2011. This is fact.

It's looking that way.

Xbox is a very strong brand in America right now. Hope they can continue the momentum to next gen and shrink the Playstation brand name even more.

It's like pong. Overshipped, not overshipped. Overtracked, undertracked.

Anyways, wonder if and when we'll get adjustments now.

It's not a fact but it's less likely now. Most of the undertracked-ness could come from Q1 2012 you know, we still don't know that.

Doubt that, we have more in the US than what NPD show don't we? Unless it really took off in Europe, I know you Sony fans hate the thought of that though. But it's either taken off in Europe or it won last year, which would you prefer? I'll give you a minute to make your decision

What if they were preparing for a price drop or halo 4? How many consoles should they have on the shelves for that?

Thanks, why does your chart say there is around 1m in shelves in March but Ethomaz is always listing these 1.4/1.5m ect figures?

1m makes a lot more sense, especially given the rate it's selling. I'd say a good 900k undertracked.

>_> There are other places than Europe and the US. It's quite clear it hasn't taken off in Europe though, if software charts are anything to go by.

I agree, I don't see it 'taking off' anywhere this past Q.

2011 gap between PS3 and 360 is 600k, so I'm guessing it'll go back to being too close to call.

Microsoft shares are up.

Good results overall, but not so much for the entertainment and devices division. I dont understand how they could make a loss there... Is it R&D for the xbox 720 or something? Anyway, It's good that losses in the Online services division are starting to slow down.. a bit, anyway. Also, its a shame that this didnt include the Lumia launch.

I myself rather the 360 not be undertracked in Europe, that would give them even less incentives to make things better here with the platform.

EDD operating income decreased reflecting lower revenue, payments made to Nokia related to joint strategic initiatives, and higher other operating expenses. Research and development expenses increased $100 million or 35%, and sales and marketing expenses increased $79 million or 50%, primarily reflecting higher headcount-related expenses. Cost of revenue decreased $80 million or 6% primarily due to lower volumes of Xbox 360 consoles and standalone Kinect sensors sold, offset in part by payments made to Nokia

Explains the losses
