Forums - Nintendo - Totally insane legit OoT speedrun in under 25 minutes!

Totally insane Zelda speedrun, managing to get from the Lost Woods to Kakariko Village, from the first boss fight to the last, and some generally skilled play.

It's important to note that this speedrun is legit and needs no cheat packs or hacks or anything. You can boot up your N64 and do the same thing (infact, something I'll be doing later...)

Actually, looking at the vid gives me an idea...do YOU have any interesting videos or clips of gaming speedruns that you'd like to share?

There's something about them which is pretty awe-inspring to watch, especially N64 games...but I'd like to see some runs which you've found as well!

If anything could embed the vid that'd be great. I'll update the OP but every time I try to do it the Internet dies ¬.¬

I remember seeing this a long time ago. I thought it was pretty hilarious lol.

Basically every exploit possible was used. I also had a hard time believing the speed runs of the bowser levels.

Edit: I never noticed, but in the description of the video it says "tool-assisted" haha -_- that explains it. Well it's fun watching I guess.

Here you go :]

Thanks!

Also love your other speedrun. YayayayaYAHOO! The 'Tool-Assisted' is simply speeding up the loading screens and the jumping between areas, I believe. So it's not THAT bad!

Well, this site has every single goddam retro game (and a few modern ones) tool assisted runs, including a faster Mario 64 video than the one posted here.

Highly recommended.

Navi must have gotten confused as hell.

Tool-assisted isn't cheating - it just speeds up some bits; it's still a player manually putting in all the commands to exploit the glitches

~~~~ Mario Kart 8 drove far past my expectations! Never again will I doubt the wheels of a Monster Franchise! :0 ~~~~
This isn't even a speedrun, It is the beginning of the game plus the final battle.
A legit speedrun can't use tool assistance and create glitches. That's not impressive at all.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
Yes it is. People use tools to record certain gameplay and correct mistakes by reversing and re-recording gameplay to perfect the time.
