Forums - General - Non-native English speakers: How did you learn English?

I just did. When I was 10, my family and I moved to a small country called Belize where english was the first language. I came in halfway thru the school semester and by the end of it, I was speaking, more or less fluently. It just happened, I don't remember how, but my teachers were shocked at how easily I picked up the language. by the time I moved to the U.S. at age 14, I kept speaking it more and more and I began to lose my accent and it is now my language of preference, although I can still speak spanish. Full integration would be the way I suppose.
