SNES > PS3 > everything else

SNES has still the most charming games of all time, tough only one game on it is considered to be in my top five^^

Current gen I definetly prefer the PS3 - to me its also the second best console of all time, taking the edge over the PS1, NES and N64

Nah bro, I have a wii and a ps3 too. It was my choice and I do find Xbl faster than Psn.

Also, im a big fan of XBLA and XNA. Which... you know... far surpasses Psn's store in terms of games.

Yay!!!

Wow surprised how hard Xbox is being rocked. Wii is of course my favorite system but this generation Nintendo barely beat Microsoft. Nintendo's software is sooooo good so amazing and the Wiimote is good, but online is a disaster and that is inexcusable with the better graphics I found it next to impossible to buy third party content on Wii. With GameCube I didn't need a second console, online game play was a major bonus but not necessary and most third party content I wanted was available on GameCube. Their was only a half dozen games I wanted on the Xbox and nothing on the PS2.

But this generation Nintendo dropped the ball in a major way. It became impossible to exclusively support them and the console gets only 55% of my total gaming time with 43% of my gaming time on 360 and 2% on my PS3. Where as last generation it was 85% on my GameCube, 10% on my friends Xbox and 5% on my DreamCast.

So as you can see Nintendo is still my preferred console manufacturer but not by the large lead it has had my whole life. For the first time my Nintendo system barely got more play then the competitors systems!

my head almost exploded when i read the bolded..

C'mon now, Joel

nothing??

out of all those damn PS2 games you mean to tell me that there was not even 1 game that you thought was interesting or atleast caught your attention??

nothing too serious..

Not a single game not available on Xbox or GameCube. Sadly their simply wasn't any games exclusively on PS2 I cared even the slightest about. Everyone said at the time what about GTA but I wasn't exactly a fan of GTA. Spyro and Crash were my two favorite Sony properties the loss of them devastated my support of Sony. God of War was slightly interesting to me as a rental but wasn't a franchise I had an interest in actually buying. My opinion of PS2 is it had a shit ton of shovel ware and some ports but lacked any true quality titles that I was interested in. Nintendo had all the first party content I could dream of and enough third party support to tide me over between first party releases. Xbox had all the third party support I would have any interest in and a few first party IP was interested in. But Xbox wasn't a console I was willing to justify buying. Sony can have 10,000 games and only five amazing quality titles that are must buys for me but it would lose out to Nintendo or Microsoft even if they only had 200 games but 60-70 that are amazing quality titles. Quality trumps quantity every time!

wow

I understand everything you said and all but dude, you missed out!

and i say that genuinley from the bottom of my heart lol

YOU FUCKING MISSED OUT. LITTLE DO YOU KNOW

i agree that Nintendo has always had Quality ass games on each system. I cant go a full generation with just a PlayStation and not have a Nintendo Console right beside it and I damn sure cant go a full generation with just a Nintendo console and not have a PlayStation right beside it.

there is no combination better than PlayStation and Nintendo

I owned GameCube so i pretty much played everything you played and i probably even enjoyed those games more than you did lol

I even think the GameCube was better than the Wii for the most part.

and the Gamecube DID NOT have more Quality titles over PS2. PS2 had the more quality titles in basically every genre BY MILES!! I thought everybody knew that?

PS2 had the quality AND the quantity

but i respect your opinion and your experience during the 5th gen though :)

PS3 :)

i believe it's pretty much a known fact that Xbl is faster than PSN. the original Xbox 360 needed a wired ethernet cord to get online while PS3 had the wireless. I understand that supposedly a wired connection will always be more stable than a wireless connection even though you had to pay for the cord.

When MS announced the 360 Slim at E3, they confirmed as clear as day that the Slim would have Wireless Blutooth 3.9(or whatever it was). It was faster than the blutooth that was in PS3 since 2006. I dont know why Sony wont just simply put the newer Blutooth in the PS3 to make it faster..

xbla might be faster, but XBLA doesn't suprass anything that psn offers, and if you honeslty compare the two there's not a big difference, and to be very honest with you, For what psn gives you "which is free" xbla should be giving more, i mean psn and xbla are very close in terms of quality.

XBLA provides more games available online both multiplatform, exclusive and on-demand. Especially to the games like Fez, American Nightmare, Sine Mora that just released this year.

you only named 3 games??

Wii>PS3>>>>>360

Wii has the greatest exclusives of the gen, by far. Super Mario Galaxys, 2 Zeldas, NSMBWii, Monster Hunter Tri, Xenoblade, Goldeneye (no longer exclusive), Donkey Kong, Kirby, Brawl etc...it may not have to multiplat, but it more than makes up for it in exclusives. There's games for everyone, and for the price, the GC support and for the VC, I have to give it first.

PS3 not only has good exclusives (Ratchet And Clank, Uncharted, Gran Turismo), but also some good mulitplat games, which I shan't list. However, the exclusives aren't quite as intuitive as those on the Wii IMO, and the inability to play PS1/2 games means it just misses out on first.

I had a 360, but sold it recently. The exclusives library was pretty much non-existant, the controller felt clunky and with only 256MB of onboard memory, in addition to having to pay, we never really went online. So the 360, whilst a good console in its own right, is the weakest this gen for me.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Here you go...

Those games are the only announced games, there are more to come.As you may know, the XBLA exclusive list is split between spring, summer, fall and winter. So this technically counts for 1/4? of all the exclusive games for XBLA for this year. And dont forget minecraft... MINECRAFT!!!!!

And I ask you... please.. what has PSN has to offer?

Yay!!!
