out of all those damn PS2 games you mean to tell me that there was not even 1 game that you thought was interesting or atleast caught your attention??

I barely play consoles thease days and just spend all my time on my ds and psp.They by far had the best games that appealed to me..no fps,no dlc bullcrap and some of the best rpg's ever made like world ends with you and remakes such as chrono trigger.

I'm not trying to start a war with any PC fans that might read this but do PC gamers even buy their games?

doesn't Steam have to give all those crazy ass deals just to get PC people to even THINK about purchasing games?

and retail games sell like seriously low according to the chartz here..

EDIT: I only really noticed when 360 fanboys would say that PS3 gamers dont buy their games. I always thought about PC gaming selling the lowest despite it having the best graphics, controls and all that good stuff

I love my Wii. At the start of this gen I was hooked on it. It was so fresh despite all the waggle games. Now however I'm begining to favour my 360 mainly due to poor Wii support. I'm surprised I enjoyed my Xbox so much considering I only bought it for RE5 So my answer is both.

Only have a ps3 right now.

Not a single game not available on Xbox or GameCube. Sadly their simply wasn't any games exclusively on PS2 I cared even the slightest about. Everyone said at the time what about GTA but I wasn't exactly a fan of GTA. Spyro and Crash were my two favorite Sony properties the loss of them devastated my support of Sony. God of War was slightly interesting to me as a rental but wasn't a franchise I had an interest in actually buying. My opinion of PS2 is it had a shit ton of shovel ware and some ports but lacked any true quality titles that I was interested in. Nintendo had all the first party content I could dream of and enough third party support to tide me over between first party releases. Xbox had all the third party support I would have any interest in and a few first party IP was interested in. But Xbox wasn't a console I was willing to justify buying. Sony can have 10,000 games and only five amazing quality titles that are must buys for me but it would lose out to Nintendo or Microsoft even if they only had 200 games but 60-70 that are amazing quality titles. Quality trumps quantity every time!

I preferred the Gamecube last gen even though I supported the PS2 much more. I think I was just biased towards Nintendo. Games like FFX, MGS2 and MGS3, SSX 3, and a ton of others got a lot of playtime when they were new. I bet my PS2 got played twice as much as my Gamecube but I still would have given up my PS2 if it came down to it.

Now, I don't think it was really a bias. I just play what I want to play. I have gone back and played games like MGS3, Space Channel 5 Part 2, and a few others on the PS2 but my PS2 games just take up space, for the most part. My PS3 is backwards compatible but I don't really use it that much. On the other side, I've gone back and completely replayed Wave Race, Sonic Adventure, MGS TS, Resident Evil, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, and Mario Sunshine. I've also thrown in Starfox Adventure, Resident Evil (RE Make), Starfox Assault, and a few others just because they were still fun.

In the end, I guess the PS2 had more great games and the 'Cube had more timeless classics (IMHO).

PS3 for me by a wide margin, but I don't hate any of them.

Wii doesn't have any games, but the few games it does have rank in my all time favorites and easily at the top of my list this generation (Zelda, Smash brothers, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Donkey Kong Country Returns, etc). Virtual console was a big deal for a year or two, but they straight up stopped supporting it, even though I did get Mario RPG, Link to the Past, and the three Donkey Kong Country games, my second, third, and fifth favorite games of all time (DKC trilogy I count as one)

the 360 has got some great games and has an amazing controller, but I hate how it makes you pay to play online (Wii, PS3, and PC all give you online play free of charge, I refuse to give Microsoft money for it.) I also don't care for the fact that I am constantly in limbo waiting for it to red ring (this is my second X-Box.) that said, its got some great exclusives and it shares the best aspects of this generation's library with PS3.

However, the PS3 basically has it all. The hardware is reliable, gives you the ability to trade out hard drives, has an amazing controller, etc. The online is free, with the gold giving you great deals but is not necessary, has much of the best games this gen that it shares with 360 (and even some it shares with the Wii), as well as the second best exclusives next to the Wii (Uncharted, God of War, Ratchet and Clank, inFamous, MGS, etc.) Also has some damn good download games. I also love how it plays blu-ray, and I'm huge into movies and have an extensive Blu Ray collection so this is the center of my entertainment system.

All games have their place in my heart, but the PS3 does it all, even if it doesn't do everything perfectly. Second best in exclusives by a thin margin, second best in online (but free), best and most reliable hardware, second best download system next to Xbox by a slim margin. Get where I'm going?
