Everyone thought it would say past within a year or so.

MS has played an absolute blinder. Butchering Sony domination, becoming the console of choice in the US and UK and carving out a genuinely viable business.

Now thats... "amazing"

While that is amazing, that point was already established and solidified like five years ago.

What's happening now today, the PS3 slowly catching up, may not be as amazing, but it is more relavent.

And only 6 months after that, people were saying PS3 would be the next Dreamcast...

There is no reason to degrade PS3s success, what was once a 9 million gap has closed to 2 million and continues to close. Why damage controlling?

Also can we once congratulate the PS3s success without someone coming in and defending how "amazing" Microsoft is doing?

there are plenty of threads from 2007 and 2008 where people have the PS3 sailing past quick sharp.

There'll be another one soon for when it passes 360...I'll be expecting some graphs to go along with it, you make the graphs no matter what the data shows, right? So let's see one where ps3 overtakes 360 at the finish line. Kthxbye

Exactly. That's one of the reasons why they're recieving less 3rd party exclusive support. But you were saying that the PS3 was getting more exclusives from 3rd parties.

in 06 i didn't know there was a war, until i came (had a name i can't use) here just looking to compare the sales. didn't read the forums until 08, and then i found this BS about wars and things that had nothing to do with games.

i still liken this console war thing to bad politics'. the difference is that in politics', i'm liberal. but in this console war, i'm proud be an independent.  learned allot of valuable lessons during my first 4 months though.

also, do you think people would still disagree if i said you were level headed now like i did in 2010? 

also i agree with your post, although i couldn't raise my hand for this or if the question was reversed.

4 years ago? You mean in 2008, people were claiming that the PS3 would pass the X360 by 09/10. I dunno, every time period has stupid people I guess. I'm pretty sure the majority believed, or they should have believed, that the X360 would easily win over the PS3. It wasn't until late 09/10 that the PS3 looked like it had a chance. Now, we're waiting to see if it will actually happen.

No, that was half my point. My point was that, and you can read it again if you like, with every sale the ps3 makes the more that devs will consider going multiplat from 360 exclusive, and more exclusive when considering multiplat. Since the slim, and the dramatic slash in the gap, ps3 started raking in more and more games, and now is getting it's own dlc content, in Japan, FF13 was exclusive, lots of exclusive 360 games were then remade into ps3 exclusive international editions. Lots of Japanese companies were saying that they just made the 360 games exclusive, and then used the profits to make a better game for ps3 lol.
