not till late 2013, or spring 2014. i think m$ will win the holiday this year and with a price cut or price cuts, they will stay ahead of sony. because sony cant afford to do a good price cut with all there money woes that they have and will have for awhile.

See, these threads go back a long way to when people were showing graphs about ps3 outselling 360, and 360 fans saying it didn't matter, it would never catch up etc etc. A lot of the argument came down to, well, 360 released first, so it had a huge edge on the competition. 360 fans denied it again and again.

Now the sales come to roost and suddenly the sales don't matter anymore, it's about who made more money.....but really it's about which console sells more.

Who the hell cares really? It doesn't make much of a difference this late into the gen. Unless one of the two HD twins was about to pass the Wii then we would have an interesting topic to talk about.

Every console that closes the gap reminds developers that they might as well make their 360 game multiplat. Every amount of ps3 growth helps devs who are leaning exclusive to stay exclusive. Way back when the gap was 13m ps3 was losing exclusives left and right and games were being made on the 360 and ported.
Nowadays, ps3 is starting to get exclusives again, some games are being primaried on the ps3, etc etc.
This is turn makes the lifespan longer, meaning they can keep the price higher for longer, and it's a snowball from there until next gen becomes inevitable.

i'll have to go with that and add, it never mattered.

so focused on sales, and forgot about the games. not really but they matter more. sales is a great topic, but no need to fanboy behind them people.

The impressive thing is that with a 1 year and 8 million sold head start and a costant lower price the PS3 has caught up to such a degree.
