Forums - Gaming - HUGE breakthrough in my GAMING life.

lol know your comp. before you hate. PC first, Sony second, ninty 3rd, and Sega forever. i know my companies, and what i like them for.

MS gateway 2k was an awesome machine. it's the PC that kept me gaming on PC, so MS was apart of my gaming life since i was in the 4th grade. can't say much about MS now though.

there was a game my teacher bought that i have no idea what the name of it was, but itwas boss. i'll look it up later.

2 yr.'s with the gateway 2k, and then i got to the 6th and 7th grade and had to play games on some off brand piece of crap, and a f'n macintosh.

anyway, just like consoles, i've likely gamed on every PC.

P.S. NES is king.

I think if you pick up the right games they can still be fun. Same with any console. The crazy thing is, with more graphics came more problems. Did we ever really have to worry about glitches, games crashing, slow framerste, blurry textures, bad camera work, etc on the snes, nes, or even the genesis? Not really or maybe I was just young and did not realize.

Anyways the American NES looked the best! :)

glitches - yes, but not as many, and not in as large a proportion of games... however there are probably fewer games that are completely broken and unplayable released now than back then.

games crashing - yes, probably just as much... and with many (most?) pre 5th gen games more of a problem as you couldn't save.

slow framerate - not sure

blurry textures - what textures?

bad camera work - very very rarely, but what do you expect... it's kinda hard to make a bad 'camera' angle in 2D

He's just jealous. I too started gaming on NES (like I said before) even a bit into the N64/PS1 generation and I can't think of any better way of starting gaming :)

What was your favourite game? Mine was Contra.

This probably reflected at my FPS skill. I always get very good (And I mean VERY GOOD) at multiplayer FPS but not at everything else.

Yay!!!

Hard to say, but probably Duck Hunt. So that's something in common =)

The rest of the list was posted earlier.

As a serious gamer my entire life this whole scenario just seems completely impossible. As much as I want to scream about this actually happening in real life, I'll let it slide. Famicon looks entirely different. My family bought a NES when I was 5, until my younger brother broke it with juice and Saltine crackers. It was a good couple of years with very few games but definitively a shaping point. I still revisit some of those games through emulation, or the occasional system from others I know.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
