I think if you pick up the right games they can still be fun. Same with any console. The crazy thing is, with more graphics came more problems. Did we ever really have to worry about glitches, games crashing, slow framerste, blurry textures, bad camera work, etc on the snes, nes, or even the genesis? Not really or maybe I was just young and did not realize.

Anyways the American NES looked the best! :)

glitches - yes, but not as many, and not in as large a proportion of games... however there are probably fewer games that are completely broken and unplayable released now than back then.

games crashing - yes, probably just as much... and with many (most?) pre 5th gen games more of a problem as you couldn't save.

slow framerate - not sure

blurry textures - what textures?

bad camera work - very very rarely, but what do you expect... it's kinda hard to make a bad 'camera' angle in 2D
