Forums - Nintendo - Official Fire Emblem: Awakening thread- European DLC 16/5 out now!

Got up through chapter 3 and the 1st paralogue, almost caught up with the previous.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I bought the eshop version.

Kind of tempted to buy the retail version and leave it in its sealed package to sell it in the future. Seems like this might be a game that could fetch a decent price in years to come.

If you look at previous games in the series, that's true, though mainly for the PAL release only. And with it avaliable digitally, I find it very hard to believe that it'll appreciate in value greatly in the future.

Well as the person above said, and as I said earlier in this thread or another.  I don't understand how anyone is paying over retail price for this.  It's available for eshop

Not sure why retail version is something someone would be willing to pay double price for or something.

Then again there are the collectors, and that is who would be buying a retail version "new" in 5-10 years time.  They would be able to get it on eshop, yet they don't want it on eshop.

I like to buy hardcover books, I own a shit ton of hardcover books.  Now would having an ereader of some kind be more easier.  I would be able to take 100's with me at a time, weigh less, be able to read in dark with no lights, ect.  But no I will always buy books I like in hardcover.    Same can be said about some people in terms of video games.

Difference is the game is in demand, and there's a short supply. In addition, a lot of people probably don't know at this point it's avaliable on the eShop. So whilst it will increase in value somewhat, it certainly won't be like the previous games.

There will always be a demand for physical copies of Fire Emblem.
