This game is the stuff! Never before have I invested so much time in a single player game! Can't believe I never played a Fire Emblem game before, especially considering Marth Ike n Roy are some of my favs in Smash Bros. Infact that's one of the reasons why I got this game as I felt I had to give the series a shot seeing as I play as their characters. Also cause when I finally looked up what exactly Fire Emblem was in terms of genre, I found out it was very much like the strategy game Advance Wars, one of my all time favorite handheld game series evar, but with RPG elements, and I love me some RPGs, making FE a dream combo to me. Upon finding that out that made Awakening an insta buy for me, more so after I played the demo. One of the biggest surprises to me was that all your units were actual characters with thoughts feelings etc., thus making me want to keep them all alive. If someone dies I would restart the mission until I beat it with no deaths. It's pretty rare that I actually care about the characters enough to do something like that. Also I was just like lol whut when MyUnit and Stahl got married. Never seen marriages in a vid game before, oh wait nvm Super Paper Mario lolz. But yeah all in all great game. Despite not having much multiplayer, which is generally a key factor for a game to be good to me, I'll likely still be playing this game for some time to come. Hopefully the Wii U FIre Emblem will be very similar to Awakening, only with online multiplayer. Sorry for uber long post. Just be thankful it isn't longer as it easily coulda been. :P

In any case, I'd love to see how character relationships will be handled in Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem. It's going to be a doozy!

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem is the next game in the series and it's going to come out for Wii U. It's a crossover between Fire Emblem and Atlus's Shin Megami Tensei RPG series. I assume it'll be another tactical RPG, and character relationships will be a main feature (this is a huge area both franchises have in common).

^Ah kewlness. Hopefully it'll have more lasting appeal features like online multiplayer and maybe even a map editor, Speaking of maps, hopefully they'll make the map itself more influential other than it just being there to walk over. I know you get bonuses for being in the woods or on a mountain, but it's not as impactful as it is in Advance Wars imo.
