I'm going to be taking a small break from this game. Likely a month or so.

Still need to get my 2nd playthrough finished, but I think it's starting to get boring grinding support convos.

I'll be back when there's some more maps so I can play all of them in 1 sitting.

Right now I'm just maxing out my streetpass team, and it's getting dull. After I play all of the maps I can I'll do a Lunatic run.

After Noire x Avatar (F) conversation, I decided to marry Noire off to Morgan so she could legitimately call me mom.

Although after what NoName has said, I think I'll pay Inigo a visit. :3

I don't want to choose between starting a family with Lucina or having her make me the proudest mother who ever lived.

What is with all the Lucina love.?

If I were to hazard a guess, it's because Lucina is the classic female badass expected from the series, but with more badassery than usual.

A better guess would be... she is pure plot justification for a good portion of Awakening's most interesting gameplay aspects.

To be honest, the female avatar really adds a lot to the story of the game, especially if you get married to Chrom. That way the three major roles (Avatar, Chrom, and Lucina) are connected as a family that really adds that bond as they face the enemy together.
