I gladly don't use both! But apple will diminish with time... Coca-cola, maybe, but not as much.

Probably because "more valuable" can be viewed with more definitions than stock/market value.

This sums up what I'm thinking, plus Coca-Cola products are sold all over the world. Apple products are made for people that have money. Coca-Cola product are made and priced so that every human being can affort them.

REAL market value shown in my postabove and BRAND value, more ethereal... and show below Apple wins the first, Coca Cola wins the second. Investors win with the first. |
There's also the idea of stability and long term value. People think Apple will probably not be where they are now in twenty years, Coke will be.

Every Coke product is literally crap. Not my opinion but more of a medical opinion. The regular sods or drinks have 40 plus grams of sugar and the diet ones have too much aspartame. Atleast when it comes to apple's public perception; it really is a public perception of how they do things (ecosystem etc). Also the chart above is bit old. Apple is now valued at $593 Billion.
So the answer is Apple. Coca Cola is still big because people just love sugared water. Cheers

I'm one of those people (if not the only person) who used the term 'imo' and it was properly used with what I had to say. I said, "imo i think Coca-Cola will be around in 100 years and Apple most likely won't". So if you were indirectly talking to me then you have yourself an explanation in how the term 'imo' can be used. You learn something new everyday ;)

Coca Cola exists for 100 years, people didn't even know Apple before iPods and iPhones. Apple is active in the electronics and technology sector where everything can change in couple of years if you do not innovate enough. Steve Jobs died, the creative mind of Apple, Apple will last another 5 years imo as the leader.

Apple have too much money now to ever fall from grace, minute they start majorly flagging they'll bring their prices in line with competition and get back on top.
My BF has an iPad 3 and I think I've been converted to 'liking' apple, only a little bit though
Apple, by a lot. In the upcoming year, Apple has the possibility of pushing its per unit share price over $1000, this would move its market cap north of $1 Trillion dollars, making it not only the most valuable company in the world, but the first trillion dollar company in history.
As far as lasting appeal, Coca-Cola, it has stayed relevant for over 100 years with no signs of slowing. American coke sucks because it has corn syrup/sugar. If you live in the US, look for a Mexican Grocer near you, they typically sell the Mexican mix of Coke that has real cane sugar, and is bottled in glass. The taste is MUCH better, still unhealthy, but as an occasional treat it is very nice.
