What, no PSP support? :(

well DS is a huge success i dont blame them, and the features they wanna use it for are pretty good
Hmm, so this would be similar to DS-enabled museum tours in Japan?
Crazy, the DS would become much more than "a gaming device" if these kinds of applications took off in NA.
There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

Couldn't a PSP just use its internet functions to bring up Disneyworld maps?

Quality for Life
cool... having an interaction map when you visit theme parks is definitely a nice thing. we definitely have the technology to do it, just not the hardware and software. the DS, with its intuitive input interface, is perfect for this sort of application.
i hope this catches on in a few years; and in addition to just being tour guide, it also shows traffic (as in queues) real-time so tourists can decide which attractions to visit and which ones to avoid. that would require WiFi, which is catching on a lot slower than i had been hoping for.
what nintendo should do is partner with them, and have DS rentals or something like that. maybe for $9.99 a day, including headsets. if i don't have my DS, i would totally rent one. in fact, for $9.99, even if i have my DS i would probably still rent one.
the Wii is an epidemic.
