Damn. Those unique monsters can really put up a fight. It would seem embarrassing to get wiped out by a man-sized squirrel, but that's what happened to me once, and almost happened again even when i approached the fight more carefully (by cleaning out surrounding enemies that had helped wear us down the first time)

Nyet. Although the game makes it 100% clear that you're at the point-of-no-return, complete with explicit message prompt and a yes/no question.

I personally favor the Classic Controller, since I like controlling the camera more freely, but the nunchuk is more efficient for switching arts on the fly during battle.
Those giant level 84 birds made Satorl Marsh a bit of a pain. I swore i was stuck somewhere (because proceeding would get me caught by one of them) before i remembered quick-travel
I continue to affirm that the team works best with Sharla, except against Mechon because of CPU-Shulk's forgetfulness on the whole "Monado Enchant" thing, but Dunban is a bit more fun to play as

Fair enough. Personally I find her almost total lack of offense too restricting and slow, especially once you hit 70 or so, but she's a nice safety blanket, and I do leave her in when I'm tackling a UM that's 10+ levels above me and can not be toppled. I'm looking at you, stupid bird-in-the-Tephra-Cave.

Perhaps things will change when the party diversifies, but i can't argue with the current results. Hell, the Reyn-Shulk combo did an incredibly good job on auto-pilot against this UM Igna, every time i chain-attacked, it turned out they had already toppled it...

In essence, yes. Dunban will warn you at the point of no return (but it's just after defeating a huge dragon if it helps). At this point, save. You can now finish any unwanted quests. If you choose to actually finish the game by going forwards, then the game will merely end, show the credits, give you the chance to save your completed game and then you'll start a NG+. So, after defeating the final boss, the only way to finish uncompleted quests is to go back to the previous save at the point of no return.
If that makes sense.

Yeah, Reyn generally topples when you need him to.
Personally, I'd swap out Reyn for Dunban, namely because he's better IMO, and also because you need to build affinity with the entire party.
@Mootap- I'd use the CCPro if I were you. It makes controlling the camera, and the game in general, easier. Also feels more traditional IMO.

No

Good idea! The real key IMO is the party setup. Control Melia, for the heavy hitting ether attacks against the Nebulae, have Riki in support due to his 9999 HP and "You Can Do It", and either Shulk (to disperse auras and block Talent Arts) or Fiora (for the speed and auto-topple). Also, be sure to command your party members back to you regularly. If they stray in the water whilst fighting, which will happen often, use "Come to me!", then "Focus Attacks!" to get back on track. Oh, and never use a chain attack. The revive capability is much more valuable. If you're still struggling, then level up, because the boss of the next, and final, area, is level 80. So you want to be 74-76 at least if you wish to just go straight to the end from here. |
I think that I'm just going to go level up since I'm struggling. I'm only level 73. :p
