If there is anyone at Sony who can save it, it's Kaz, so I'm optimistic.

Im guessing this will be just about SEN, talk about convergence of there store across all devices, and levering all the Music and Films they make each year to help promote Sony services as the first place they will be available.

Stuff they should really of done a long time ago

Also they should look at cheaper manufacturing outside of japan, its the only way they will compete with South Korea.

i hope it is a good one. i'd like to continue buying sony products in the future.

Vita will be fine, but any hope of it outpacing 3DS is gone at this point. Not gonna happen. Still, Sony could carve out a nice little second place market share and still end up making a profit on software licenses.

becasue that wasn't the point from the beginning

Well I think that they had hoped to also profit from the hardware at some point, but I see that point as being farther in the future than they had hoped. With these slow sales a price cut is inevitable.

You realize, of course, that it was Kaz Hirai who turned PS4 development into haphazardly assembling a low-end gaming PC (if the latest rumours are to be believed)?

Best selling consoles are dependent on price and software.

Just look at the ps1 and ps2...they were simply outclassed by the other more powerful systems yet they still completely undressed the competition.

If sony can get a cheap moderately powerful console with some great exclusives with a launch price of $350 or lower, i think sony will have a very very good generation ahead of them.
