1. Metroid Prime
-Why: the atmosphere and sound is amazing
-Favorite Part: Phendrana Drifts (beautiful winter area), the epic Meta Ridley fight

2. Socom 2
-Why: it was the first online shooter (3rd person) on the PS2, very active game for its time.  A few friends and I were addicted to it for 2 years.
-Favorite Part: clan matches and tournaments thru gamebattles

3. Super Mario World
-Why: i have great childhood memories playing it and its still great after all these years.  Its the kind of game you can go back and play every couple of years.
-Favorite Part: beating the star levels then playing the special levels

4. Dark Souls
-Why: it has a perfect level of challenge, it will make you much better by the time you finish your first play through.  Also the variety of weapons and animations for each weapon is insane
-Favorite Part: making it thru Sen's Fortress and the Crystal Cave for the first time

5. Smash Bros Melee
-Why: its the most fun I've had playing 4 player
-Favorite Part: 3 person free for all on final destination (with items turned off of course)

Others: resident evil 4, monster hunter tri, rome total war, super mario 64, mario kart 64, starfox 64, pokemon yellow, bioshock, red alert 2, windwaker, majoras mask

1. Metroid Prime. It's the only game I've beaten more than five times, and the first game I've ever 100%'d. I'd always find new secrets and better routes with each subsequent playthrough. However, Prime's real strengths are its unrivaled atmosphere, epic boss battles, and chilling music. Heck, I feel like playing through it again right now.

You should!

Xenogears
Legend of Dragoon
MGS1-4
Uncharted 2
God of War 2
FF X
Shadow of the Colossus
ICO
Journey

1. Halo: CE

Reason: I have so many great memories of this game. I don't think I'll ever be able to appreciate another game as much as this. I can still remember my middle school years. Campaign during the weekdays, and sleep over lan parties during the weekends. Halo was like ecstasy to me.

Favorite memory: Owning all my friends with the pistol.

2. Final Fantasy X

Reason: I'm not really much of an rpg fan, let alone jrpgs, but this game is just so good. I love everything from the story to the music. I don't think that there is another game that got me engaged as much as this. I really cared for the main characters, and Spira's world was interesting and believable.

Favorite memory: The CG scene in the beginning where Tidus attempts his signature move to kick the blitzball, but then Sin attacks.

3. Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2

Reason: Pretty much for the same reason I like FFX. The story, music, gameplay, and world are all super interesting to me. I also particularly like the voice acting for these games. KH3, when are you going to come out??!!!!

Favorite Memory: playing this game.lol

4. Shenmue 2

5. Zelda: Ocarina of Time

1. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I never thought this would be number 1, when I first got it I really hated it. XD But now, it's a great (great!) game. I want to play it over and over, there is something to it that is just so awesome.

2. Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby

This may seem out of the blue to most (if not all) of you. The reason why I chose this is because it was literally one of my first games I had ever played. (Just shows how old I am right! ;D ) I probably playd it in excess of 30 times, I literally loved this game.

3. Pikmin

(My avatar!) ^_^ This game is really well made. I really enjoyed it but from what I can remember the games above were better. (IMO)

4. Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Plain and simple; memories and very, very fun.

5.

You forgot to fill out the 5th one.

I've fixed it.

@Pezus You like Nintendo?!?! Whuu?!

Going to keep multiple iterations of one series outside^^, also rank 5 was pretty hard to decide...

Rank 5 - Ookami

Innovative gameplay paired with excellent artstyle, I loved the story and everything in it, it was just... good!
Favourite Part: Dungeons :D

Rank 4 - Disgaea

The humor is just plain awesome... also I think it was a very well thought through game (sadly I never owned the game)
Favourite Part: Flonne, Laharl and Edna

Rank 3 - Zelda: A Link to the Past

Still the best Zelda out there, all later Zeldas are too easy (except MasterQuest) - it also was the first one to include a plot I liked^^
Favourite Part: Death Mountain/Death Mountain dark world

Rank 2 - Secret of Evermore

Would probably have taken rank 1 if it was not for the lack of multiplayer, I liked the different "timezones" and the really strange characters.
Favourite Part: Grinding in the first timezone so that when you go on you are just so awesome you kill everything

Rank 1 - Suikoden II

Most epic game ever, loved how I had to recruit my 108 Stars of Destiny, loved the Story, loved the Battle-System... I just loved the game...
Favourite Part: Neclords Return

1. Oblivion (Morrowind, Skyrim)
- Perfection in every way. Fantastic atmosphere, immersive, huge and interesting world with engaging quests and background lore, a world that feels real, a fantasy simulation of an alternative reality to our own. Complex and addicting RPG-features, fantastic music and sounds. Too much good to say. The game of all games.
- Favorite moment: stepping out of the sewers.

2. Demon's Souls (Dark Souls)
- Deeply immersive, almost mesmerizing world. Perfect gameplay mechanics, controls and combat. Truly challenging and serious.
- Favorite moment: when you get teleported back to your main hub and that chick talks about the world being mended.

3. Age of Empires II
- Amazing setting and design of the Medieval era, deep and intricate RTS-mechanics and features, highly addicting online gameplay.
- Favorite moment: all the unique sounds of the different civlizations. Briton longbows.

4. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
- Perfectly balanced and highly advanced objective based and team based online shooting.
- Favorite moment: when you desperately race against time (and the opponent team) at the last defensive stand

5. Dark Age of Camelot
- Fantastic atmosphere and design in a huge truly persistent MMO fantasy world. Three separate PvP factions give very interesting game balance and meaning. By far the best MMO I have played.
- Favorite moment: PvP faction battles in Darkness Falls.

Nope, never played a Metroid game!

Hahahahaha. Okay then.

To be honest though, you are missing out. Super Metroid is really timeless you should give it a play bud.

(nevermind the metro-sexual voice acting)
