Forums - Microsoft - Star Wars Kinect was worked on by 10 teams, 200+ people

if the game is really going to be that bad, maybe microsoft should have thought about upping the quality of it's developers rather than increasing sheer mass of them. i bet a developer like bioware could do wonders for a project like this.

Could it be that the standards on these forums are not ... Well in favour for this game. I will post something like "It will still be a piece of crap." In the next Killzone thread or whatever and see what happens.

Killzone is typically a high quality franchise. Youd be better comparing this to something else that looks equally as poor. Something like Tokyo Jungle.

...and nobody would complain

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Wait and see. Only 3 official reviews, but not exactly promising.

Personally, I think it looks good and I'll probably end up buying a copy somewhere down the line simply for being Star Wars, but if this is really the best way a game like this could be presented based on the Kinect interface, more than anything it shows either the limitations of the developers' (or maybe that should be the development committee based on the number of people who had hands on) imagination or basic limitations of using Kinect in its current state as the only user interface in a game. Any game.

over 5?really?

If this goes over 7. Its a definite rent for me.

Yay!!!

Eurogamer gave it a 5/10

Overall, Kinect Star Wars is an incoherent and clumsy compilation, one driven more by brand synergy than any creative imperative. The better elements would arguably have worked better as standalone digital releases, while the core gameplay is both awkward and unsatisfying. Kids will find it far too fiddly and unresponsive, while adults will be put off by the repetition and generally slapdash "see what sticks" approach to gameplay. Waste your time with this, you should not.

Dance part is the only part they were satisfied with.
