It is already in the 50's. Another terrible motion control game.

| SvennoJ said: Eurogamer gave it a 5/10 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-04-02-kinect-star-wars-review Overall, Kinect Star Wars is an incoherent and clumsy compilation, one driven more by brand synergy than any creative imperative. The better elements would arguably have worked better as standalone digital releases, while the core gameplay is both awkward and unsatisfying. Kids will find it far too fiddly and unresponsive, while adults will be put off by the repetition and generally slapdash "see what sticks" approach to gameplay. Waste your time with this, you should not. Dance part is the only part they were satisfied with. |
Do I hear a Dance Central "Jabba's Palace"? Anyone?
Can't help but wonder if Kinect Star Wars is going to sell a ton of copies anyway by the simple merit of being Kinect and Star Wars or if it's going to result in a bunch of people losing their jobs if it tanks.
It does kind of come off as a bunch of disjointed mini games set in the Star Wars universe based on what I'm seeing so far.
I'm still buying it because hey; it's Star Wars and I already have a Kinect camera. I'm just not paying $50 for it. I can wait for my groan and grimace worthy experience.

Isn't the game still in a sorry state? I remember a thread from Carl just two months ago. It's more like the game was in such an unfinished condition that it couldn't be released any sooner. Like having only a handful of playable levels and poor ones at that. |
You're right, but don't go and discredit yourself by referring to anything Carl says. lol.
saw some gameplay over on gametrailers and...pray to god they're not spending a lot of money on this

Actually, the reviews seem to be directly related to whether the site contains the "xbox" letters in its url somewhere or not...
Did somebody really expect a "hardcore" game? (Hint: the gpu simply isn't strong enough to handle graphics AND kinect for a hardcore game)
that's a small team comparing to Epic Mickey 2
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

My thoughts EXACTLY. My goodness, what a waste...
I do have to point out, though... Wii Sports had pretty mixed reviews, too. So you have to think of these types of "casual motion" games in the context of who will be playing/buying them. Families and little kids who just want to jump around and flail with an air-saber won't be able to tell if it's a highly-polished well-made game or not, and that is probably what Microsoft and LucasArts are banking on.
