Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.

Some people seem to be convinced that it'll be the end all of FPS games on the PS3, and somehow overcome the developers history of poor design.

Based on this info I'd say RFOM2 is doing a hell of a lot more than KZ2 devs dare to try, and since the developer has a good track record it should play out well. Maybe this will see the end of people endlessly hyping up a (likely) poor game.

Plus, its funny that one magazine issue divulged more information on the gameplay and story of RFOM2 than everything thats known about KZ2.

 

Also, I really dont like the chimera redesign.

After seeing the cover, I am a little disappointed: Seeing Hale in his gear shows that they will continue in that 50s era.

Although, I think it's awesome that the game will take place in multiple countries: Iceland, the U.S., and Mexico.

Dude.. it got a 9.1 from gametrailers.

Resistance is still the best ps3 game even after cod4.

hype behind resistance fall of man 1??? there was really no hype for it at all.... not like this anyway... and it turned out to be a very stellar game
