It did a healthy 1.5 million in '10-'11, so far YTD PS3 tracks higher then last year.

PS3 will continue to rise while the Wii will go into negative sales.
It will be slow. But by 2015, PS3 will have made it and outsell the Wii weekly, even during holidays.

At the end of this year it will be less then 3.5 million behind, 3.5 million over 3 years is more then likely. Never say never, you'll be disappointed lol.
considering the ps2 is approaching 12 years on the market and still going I think it's no doubt the ps3 will pass wii life time

Yeah, that's how most of you base your analysis. By taking the peak year and relating it to whether it'll or not pass 13 million is a pure understimation. It'll happen. The Japanese market has already embraced the console owing to the core titles being released there on a consistent basis unlike 360 and PSvita which has been purely dismal.
