I have a dell computer and it does the job.. I wouldn't want to go broke buying HD upgrades and such.. sometimes a little wisdom goes a long way

The main part that annoys me is how ridiculously expensive it is and how much profit Apple makes. Can't they ever give the consumer a break price-wise with how much money they are bringing in?

I know they don't have to, and if people are willing to pay that much it's not a smart business move, but it's hard for me to be excited for Apple's success on this one.

I am not sure why people are criticizing it for the price. The price seems fairly appropriate for a high end tablet - maybe even a little cheap considering that it is selling at rates that hotcakes only wish they could sell.

It is also priced more cheaply than far less impressive competing tablets, like the Samsung tablet that costs more than the iPad 3 WiFi model, but is clunky and primitive feeling even when compared to the first iPad -

The first iPad is about half the price of the Samsung one.

I think that certain gamers seem to be intimidated by Apple, because I often see an irrational hatred for them in these forums and certain other gaming forums. It is the same sort of irrational criticism that Angry birds' developer has for console games that cost 50$USD, and it is largely derived from people simply being ignorant of the respective markets and industries.

In one weekend it doubled Vita's sales. The iPad will soon pass the 3DS and lead the 8th gen.

The iPad isn't an 8th generation gaming console, it is Apple's 3rd generation tablet. A very different industry and market.
