...and that means you are already twice as interested in the 3DS as either the 360 or PS3, because you can name two games for it.

Haha, yes very true! But I wanna play some of the HD games as well: I'm thinking of Batman, Mass Effect and the likes... But I can't decide on which console I wanna play them on :( It's up to the exclusives kinda

You might as well get yourself a better PC, because the games you want the most are available for the PC as well. Since people are already recommending that you should wait until the imminent price cut in case you go with the 360, buying one now doesn't seem to be your best option anyway. And the PS3's exclusives seem to be largely unknowns to you.

So upgrade your PC or get a new one. It usually also has the best versions of the games you want to play.

for some strange reason i find myself agreeing with Rol.

you may want to do your research before considering your purchase DaneSandin

Get a 360 if even that. Getting a ps3 was a big mistake not because it doesn't have AMAZING games but rather because it lacks the part of gaming that I forgot I cared so much about, the community feeling. Very few people I know in real life have a ps3, while nearly everyone has a 360. Even if you have to shell out 60 bucks for online, it would be worth every penny for the experience of talking crap to your friends online. Also, their libraries are extremely close anyways and both have their share of games unavailable on the competitors. After beating Mass Effect 2 on the ps3, I wish I bought the 360 so I could have played Mass Effect 1. :( One of the best games of all time imo.

Instead of listening to everyone telling you what to get...
Just take a look at the games, the console that has the games that appeal to you, go for that one.

Graphically both consoles aren't that far apart and both look rather ancient now compared to a PC.
And other than exclusives, they have the same game library to. You won't really be choosing the "wrong" console either way. Just choose the one where the exclusives appeals to you. (As we all have differing tastes and all.)

Conversely, you could just ditch the consoles, build yourself a decent PC and buy a ton of games off a Steam sale.
PC's are incredibly powerful these days and it doesn't need to be overly expensive; and other than console exclusive games... It has most of them to. Plus much much more. (Think: 2+ decades worth of games, the capability to play entire older consoles library's on top of it to via Emulation.)

both... they are cheap as chips now.

wow.. i wish i could say that :(

I trust no one, not even myself.

how does this get so many post so fast this far into the gen?

personally i believe you cant go wrong with either one at this point they both have pretty good lists of established exclusives and most games are now available on both. its not like the last few gens where the choice was much easier as it was evident that one console had the most diverse exclusives and had a pretty strong hold on the 3rd party devs

going of your criteria i would lean slightly towards the PS3, you should also look at games that your currently not really interested in, b/c you never know you might have a change of mind for a particular type of game in the future. theres alot of games in my collection for this gen that i would of never thought i would own, they interned my collection and i dont regret them b/c of things like losing interest in repeat franchise, and internet hype

The 360 has slightly superior versions of most WRPGs when compared to the PS3. That being said, I still have to recommend the PS3 over the 360 but you can't really go wrong either way.

Exactly how Microsoft got me to buy another 360. All my friends are on it and I talk to them. My PS3 is still my main gaming console when I am not doing multiplayer I enjoy exclusives my PS3.

I have to say, buying a console at launch is always a bad idea. Buying older / legacy systems will allow you to purchase far more for the same amount of money allowing you to have more games than time to play them.

Great third person titles... God of War III, Heavenly Sword, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden Sigma I & II
