Wow, I actually feel kind of butthurt. I was totally getting ready for a PS Vita win, that was quite a big U-turn at the end.

I hate to be "that guy" but I also think that the Vita should have been cut some slack in the "games" section. Launching later is never an excuse to have sold less or have less games at the end of a generation (PS3 vs Xbox 360 LTD sales) but it definitely applies in the case of the Vita, or any newly launched console for that matter. It's not that that the 3DS has been out 9 months longer, it's that it has been out 4 times longer.

I agree with the outcome to some extent and understand that d21 is comparing what is the best console NOW, but after being out 3 months I think the result (at least in the games category) was going to be obvious. It's a great analysis though, I wasn't expecting it to be spread out over 6+ posts, I'm hoping that you'll do another one next year.

Can't wait for E3.

As someone who's not a Vita owner, I'm curious to hear what you reasonably expect to hear come E3 regarding upcoming releases.

The announcement of games, perhaps? I don't understand.

I just expect a good E3 all round, it's the first E3 I will watch at the start of a generation, even if it is just for handhelds.

I think you have to be a Sony fan to understand how broad of a statement that is, it's not as easy for us as it is for you to pin point what a may and may not be announced, what we do know is that what is announced will be  awesome, and not knowing what that is because you never know with Sony is what makes E3's so exciting for us

I'll answer that too.
E3 won't have any japanese games of notice for vita, except if there's an exclusive Metal Gear or Final Fantasy, which is doubtful, but may happen. MH won't be announced at E3, no chance.

Now for what I hope to happen:
Big support from Capcom - 3 games at least. Resi Rev will be ported.
Big support from Konami - MGS is way more important, but Castlevania would hurt 3DS's users egos a lot

Fair and honest comparisons except for the Game category. 3DS has been on the Market a full year, so of course it should have more and better games. PSV only released Worldwide last month, eveyone knows it takes longer than that to release the best games the system can offer.
