Forums - Sony - What ever happened to the Super Smash Bros. PS3 game?

It can be kind of hard to picture a clone of smash brothers with Sony character simply because there are plenty of more mature characters and SSB is more cartoony. But there are some greats in there that could fit right in. Sackboy, Drake, Cole, Rachet, Clank, Jak, Daxter, Sly cooper, I would like to see Crash Bandicoot and Spyro as well. There would be room for non Sony exclusive, or not Sony exclusive anymore, characters.



Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

That's kind of how I feel too. Nintendo doesn't have any "mature" games. I really think Sony should aim for a T audience at worse with inclusion of platformers like Ratchet & Sackboy....BUT they would almost have to have at least Kratos....and with Kratos, if there is no blood, then it won't feel like Kratos....So I don't really know what route they would take.


And Kratos...how can I forgot. Well even without blood.  Its not so much the maturity I guess, its the realism. That's why its always more suitable for these characters to appear in fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Street fighter x tekken.

Hopefully, if real, it plays more like tekken. I hate the way smash bros controls :P That's just me though.

A dream combination would be tekken control somehow implemented well into naruto ultimate ninjastorm 3d fighting :P ... That's very unlikely though.

Funny how people think the game would suck just because it will have this and that character in it.

No insight on gameplay, game style, game controls and game competitivity whatsoever. Among other stuff.

Would you kids please stop pretending you know about gaming, games and game developpment?

Snake in Brawl. Samus and the Fire Emblem characters also make a decent point in favor of integration of characters from more mature series with more realistic playstyles. It can be done effectively, and yet retain Smash Bros' accessibility.

And for the record, i supported this rumor. I've been calling for a PS version of Smash Bros for over a decade now.
