In all seriousness though... this x 1000.  I still can't believe there are people who honestly think that M$ will show off the NextBox at this year's E3 with absolutely no games or anything ready for it.

lol for people believing this type of talk... Sony said something similar, yet its going to happen for both. E32012 will show off next gen MSony hardware in some form.

Some people really thought that MS would release the NextBox this year but thats ridiculous they have a new Halo in november.

at best a revised kinect there is no reason to force  for them to force a new console in public eyes yet. they can keep refining the hardware and get  a stable of games and live with updates by leaks for now, one more grand christmas for the 360 by itself. next year as early as january around CES since MS is not going hold their own show to show off the new console and have it out in aug or so in 2013 .. 

 

I think how last gene ended and this began effected this in such away that our traditions of knowing far out with official statements will end. I have felt for a long time the ps3 could have done much better and hurt the 360 more by simply not coming out till 2008 with a lower cost and all features let the ps2 and rumors of the ps3 stifle 360 sales

I disagree. The last thing they want is to give the Wii U a two year head start (and possibly disregard a one year head start before the PS4).

While some might laugh at this, I agree 100%.

I actually recently wrote an editorial for a friend's blog project about how I believe the PS4 should launch later rather than sooner, and used this exact (even down to the date) reason to illustrate my point.  I think I'm going to make a thread about it...
