I have now updated my signature to reflect my new avatar-related contribution.

Yes, it's a horrible joke.

HFBoards shut this kind of thing down a couple years ago.

I thought it was stupid at first because i think forum moderation should be kept to a minimum but i actually appreciate it now. There are plenty of places to see naked/half naked women on the net (including my own page on vgchartz) i don't need to see it constantly when i'm reading threads.

Removing that kind of thing instantly gives a website an upgrade in class.

Your avatar sure supports that logic!

since i saw him posting in the closed "russia against gay blablub" thread i totally understand he's against half naked avatars here. just funny to see hi posting about woman avatars because otherwise it would be too obviously what he really doesn't want to seee anymore here haha

but nobody has to to know how i look not even as comic character so what shall i do then? just using none avatar? i think if everyone who doesn't like to let people know how he looks would stop using other pictures 90% would have th same picture, the standard picture <--- bad and boring idea

the only reason i know your avatar is representing yourself is because you said it now. so for me your picture was the same as someone with a bart simpson pic or so, just a comic pic of an imaginary person.

I never said I think people should post pictures of themselves, in fact I even said I don't even expect people to post cartoons of themselves. All I said is that I think the pictures should represent yourself instead of display a chick you think is hot. Make the hot girl your screen saver or wallpaper and pic something for your avatar that represents your personality. That was my point.

and if i don't post a pic/comic of myself what can represent myself instead of that?

Users have every right to choose an avatar that suits them as long as it fits the VGC requirements, I'm definitely not here to argue that.

All I'll say is that gamrConnect is one of the few regular sites I visit where I think twice about browsing whenever I'm in a public area (such as in my school library or a bookstore). I understand what this site is and how people's avatars play out in the scheme of things (aka it's really not that big of a deal), but others who see these avatars out of context don't have that luxury... and it can lead to some awkward moments.

Last year, during a mafia game, I left my computer open at work. unattended, my boss gazed at my screen and thought I was looking at gay porn because the page that was open showed Truckosaurs' shirtless male avatar wearing a Santa hat.

On campus, I'm too afraid to browse the forums because of all the half naked ladies in sigs and avatars ... I don't want my friends to think I"m a creep.

In short, I feel ya. For the last 3 months or so, I only browse VGC from home.

looks at your avatar, mind is blown.    The percentage of nsfw avatars is small. Drama unless your always looking at these dudes avatars.

Whenever I'm out in the Living Room looking at my Macbook I always get that feeling too. xD When someone walks behind me I always push everything away (with the multi-touch thing.) so no one can see it. And it also always happens to be on Seece or Truck's avatar's. PERFECT!

Well, my avatar's purpose is not to be attractive to be honest. Do you find her attractive?
