Double post, but an interesting thought. What if the "reason why some seasons are shorter than others" is a Feature Film?

That would make more sense than them just rushing on to a fourth season: a drain on production resources, but a project that would not be unduly difficult. It would fit in with the trend of Hasbro making feature films to promote their properties, as well.

Also a good idea. For some shows, doubling run-time hasn't worked out as well, except on special occasions (looking at you, Metalocalypse), but one thing often holding MLP episodes back is that they're too short. Likely the problems of "Mysterious Mare Do Well" could have been alleviated with more runtime, like if they had had more room to establish Rainbow Dash as being a jerk about it or some better justification for coming up with Mare Do Well.

If anyone's bored and has an hour, here's Everfree's interview with Tabitha, talking about voice acting, her characters, and things like that.

it's weird, Rainbow Dash is easily my favorite of the Mane 6, yet I often have a hard time watching her episodes becuase they make her seem so boisterous and arrogant.  I mean, I like cocky, but they really overdo it on the episodes that focus on her and that makes it really hard to keep liking her.

Twilight, on the other hand, is a really deep, nuanced character who seems a little neurotic most of the time but has some of the best episodes.  I'd love to see the one about her failing the test, spiraling downwards for 45 minutes, then coming to terms with the fact that not everyone's perfect.  her episodes could last an hour with ease.

Pinkie Pie's episodes couldn't last an hour, neither could fluttershy's.  I am not sure if Rarity's could and I actually think that, save her relative simplicity as a character, Applejack's talents and skillset would make for a wonderful hour long show.  Dash and Twilight's personalities both would really do well from longer episodes.

I clearly need to watch more My Little Pony. I mean I know Pinky Pie and Rainbow Dash....but it is just not enough pony knowledge.

I don't know. I feel a lot of potential remains untapped in Fluttershy's case. Pinkie Pie i agree with, but she works well in smaller doses. I would enjoy seeing them put her in 7-minute shorts.

Now for self-plug time!
“Solitude is not harmony,” Wishwell declared before the rulers, gathered again in the great meeting hall of the Triumvirate. “That’s the short version of what went wrong.”
“What do you mean?” Gale asked.
“The point of fighting Discord is to use a pony who can embody Harmony itself. That’s why Princess Celestia has the flame of harmony in her, and I figured this would make her elementally harmonious, able to control harmony and smash Discord once she comes of age. But it’s fundamentally flawed to assume that one pony can embody harmony on her own. Look at the sun, which regulates time and the rhythm of sleep and waking. Yet we see how Discord, in keeping the sun aloft so long, uses it to his advantage. The sun alone does not create harmony: it needs the moon. Day needs night to complement it and keep all things in order. So Celestia needs another, equal yet different, who can work together with her to create true Harmony when the time comes. In short,” Wishwell added, “she needs a sister. One created just like her, but based on the essence of the moon instead of the sun.”
“So we must make another?” Gale asked. “I thought you said that the borrowed essence of sunlight meant that we could not make another such pony?”
“There are plenty of bodies in the heavens,” Wishwell said. “I chose sunlight to be the basis for Celestia because the sun is the greatest of the heavenly bodies, and having its power would likely make Celestia supreme in the sky, able to wrest control of the Heavens back from the Draconequus, and subsequently restore order in its entirety. I can condense the essence of the Moon using the same magical process, it’s just that no other pony will be able to have that kind of control over the Moon or Sun while either of these ponies live.”

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I watched an episode of this earlier today, and I've got to say that it is probably one of the top 10 worst creations in the history of time. #imjustgivingmyopinionpleasedontshootme

Mr Khan; I'm guessing that's from your fanfiction?

man-bear-pig; Nope, we won't hurt you. We might ask why you found it so terrible, but we don't expect everyone to like the show. Just like other things we like, we know the show isn't for everyone.

Seriously though, no big deal. Can I ask which episode you watched and why you didn't like it exactly? Some episodes are better than others, so maybe you watched one of the less than stellar ones.
