Why can't console debates be like this...

Yearly numbers for PSP:

2011: 7300k
2010: 9250k
2009: 9850k
2008: 14050k
2007: 12800k
2006: 9500k
2005: 9600k

Bolded the two important numbers to show that PSP had strong launch but then suffered in it's second year. So the future of Vita is not going to be decided by what it does in 2012 where it will make 5-6 milions with ease but in 2013 and 2014.

PSP was even destroying DS in its 1st year on market...just putting it out there. And then what happened to DS? Where is now?

The graphs don't look too bad to me, am I missing something? Japan isn't looking too good, but that's understandable considering the lack of Japanese games at launch.

I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks or months so the USA and Europe graph begin to form a pattern.

Excellent job Kowenicki, keep up the good work. Hopefully we can see weekly updates in the coming weeks.

The 3DS/DS 1st Year Comparison Thread was definitely one of last years more interesting threads, so hopefully we can see this thread continue on throughout the year (no pressure!). Zlejedi started a Japan PSP/3DS/PSV chart thread, but he stopped updating it two weeks in.

To be quite honest, I find a console/handheld's start in the sales race much more dynamic and interesting than how it finishes. I suppose I'm just not one for long distance races.

If numbers keep going down then Sony is in trouble... i dont think its a Call of Duty or Assassins Creed that will save Vita in the West.

Maybe a MH in Japan will but i doubt, 3DS is in Full Power Mode and will continue that way in the coming 3/4 years.

I feel it's my civic duty as a vgc member to remind newcomers and old members alike that your "unbiased new persona" that you started like a year ago, was just created so that you could troll sony. You have never posted a news article that was good for Sony or bad for MS. And, not that you were the one to say it (it was rol) you are not a man of facts or truth.

Yeah real simple clarification. I told you, and YOU know yourself that every graph tells a different story. I KNOW you're not stupid, so don't try to pull the wool over the eyes, because that's what you're doing and you KNOW it. You know the original graph fits, it's just the story that YOU want to tell doesn't USE those graphs.

Furthermore, it's not about the 360 ps3 graphs that is important. It's those quotes.

4 Lines, this thread is at least 3 of them.

Again, this is not about hurt feelings. This is what being truthful is really about. This is why I appreciate all consoles accomplishments and do so every consistently, and only point out the failures that I think each one stumbles upon, like MS weird light-kinect-tech (which is just silly). The point is, when I started here, I was a Sony fanboy, and over the course of my time here I've grown to appreciate and talk like a civil adult, and not try to make people feel bad for being a fan of a system.
