That's not what I'm saying. A game can have all 5 elements, but i'm just ranking the things that would come before graphics imo. For example lets compare Crysis 2 and Bioshock. Crysis 2 has better graphics, but bioshock has it beat in pretty much every other category. I'll take a game with sub-par graphics and amazing story and gameplay over a game with amazing grahics and meh everything else.

Heavy rain and ME2 are quite close, Alan wake is faaaar distant. GoW3 is faaar ahead. Put some work into it and I will share :). That is if.. you can stop playing ME2.

Atleast you can acknowledge MGS4 for 08, UC2 for 09, UC3 for 11: and I do believe you're not naive enough to disgard GoW3 from 10.

Spike....is just terrible. They didn't nominate Super Mario Galaxy as GOTY Material in 2007 and got chastized so much Skyward Sword was an auto contender this year.

You also clerverly avoided my questions. How many Best Graphics awards did ME2 get and GoW3? I really doubt a lot more. Same with Alan Wake vs. Heavy Rain

I'm just going to point something out. You said UC3>UC2>KZ3>KZ2 as the top 4 best graphics on consoles, right? IGN said Gears 2 is above Killzone 2, and Gears 3 is a huge upgrade on that. So I do agree UC2>Gears 3, but the difference isn't that big, and in the end racing sim like Forza and GT5 look much much better.

IMHO Forza 4>GT5=Forza 3>UC3>Gears3>UC2>ME2=KZ3>KZ2=GoW3

If you disagree, that's your own personal opinion, not a concensus.

I don't know where I would put Mass Effect 3 as I want to beat ME2 before playing it.

NOOOOO, I did NOT say that. I say:
UC3 > UC2 > KZ3 > GoW3

KZ2 is long passed in my opinion!! Once again you go ahead with IGN. Jesus christ, thats ONE site. GameReactor made a list of the best engines and graphics on consoles. They say : 1. UC3, 2. UC2, 3.KZ3, 4.GoW3 => Exactly what I believe myself :D! Still though, they are just ONE site out of many. I am simply saying UC2, UC3 and GoW3 have won butt fuck ton of awards for their work on the visual front each year. People all around the world are amazed by these games. Thats why they are being praised unlike Forza and Gears (I'm sorry brah'). But I get the feeling that you LOVE racing games in visuals. Great for you! I personally feel GT5 has some AMAZING moments but overall, its piss-poor in comparison to Uncharted and God of War ^_^. I'm still sick over that picture you gave over FM4.

..Like we already established. My top 4 has 3 that has been molested with awards. Does that make my word gods word? Nah. Not at all. I'm simply showing you that there are others who appreciate these games visually.. and a very VERY vast MAJORITY at that. 09-10-11, Graphics winner has been like 80-90% of the overall awards with the rest of the percentage being scatterd all over the place!

Oh I will agree GT5 looks amazing too. I put Forza 3, 4 and GT5 well above Uncharted IMHO. However GT5 being in my list of top 3 doesn't make PS3 the definite graphics king, and Forza 4 is better. No no no!  GT5 is obviously better since it's 1080p, not 720p like Forza 4 is. :P

Both are 720p. GT5 is only 1080p when viewing cars in the garage and when you take a photo. GT5 does has 1080p vertical resolution, but has frequent frame rate drops to 30FPS (lower in 3D), even in optimal 12 person driving, no weather. Forza 4 holds a constant 60 FPS.

GT5 looks more like Forza 3, with the difference being car models look better in GT5 (for the limited cars that have them).

no thats false, GT5's native resolution is 1080p (1280x1080) just check DF are any other site.

GT5 = 1080p always (you can choose 720p with more AA). and frame rate analysis shows GT5 is usualy around 50fps, and thats when the game first launched many things have been improved sense.

Forza = 720p always. with frame rate usually around 59-60fps. and they had to make great sacrifices to get 16 cars at the same time like gt5 has. and it still doesnt have weather effects or day night transistions

It doesn't even have 16 cars on ALL tracks :D!

Yes, I agree.But you cannot say that graphics are not a desirable quality in a game, just because others are more desirable, to you (and in this case me as well). I may be more interested in the gameplay of Super Meat Boy, for example, but the graphics, musicc and story all contribute to the experience over all . Not everybody enjoys the same aspects of gaming, nor is every game classifiable with those 5 qualities you listed.

I will not take the same amount of enjoyment out of each of these categories every time I play a game either. For example, if a game does not have a story,does that mean I can only enjoy the game 4/5th of the amount that I can of a game that does satisfy the 5 qualities you listed? It is a very narrow-minded way of looking at things. 

Either way, I and I'm sure many people do take enjoyment out of technically impressive virtual entertainment, otherwise there would not be a global drive for more realistic looking CG, for example. That appreciation of technical prowess is why this thread is important, for some at least.

I became who I am today. Curse you Naughty Dog xD. Seriously though, try to find topics made within couple of days since UC3's launch. I went fucking berserker after beating the game and a big reason was my favourite level of the game: The desert part of UC3. It seriously is ridicilously good looking. Take a look at GameTrailers forums at the "It only does screenshots V.18" topic. Madness...

MLB 12 is one of those games that just looks amazing in motion. The animations and something to do with the lighting make it look very photo-realistic.

Yes, I would consider the WiiU this generation. Since it is being made with a gfx card from 08. The WiiU can be considered an HD console like the x360/PS3. I'd consider next gen PCs when the nextbox and PS4 are announced and we can look at their specs. This generation of games looks nicer on PC. 

Trolling, how am I trolling? I knew the word was plenty perverted now and days, but I didn't think it had reached this point yet.

Edit: Yes, I realize that the popular opinion is that the WiiU is the start of the 8th generation. But I don't see any huge graphical leaps that it is making in comparison to the other two. More along the lines of the jump between the Dreamcast and Xbox. Both of which are considered "6th generation"
