The tv show, i've seen just one episode the first one and thought it was a piece of shit, its like a bad porn movie with incest porn and old ladies fucking younger guys, then some girl gets raped and kept as a sex slave to a tribe hopefully in the next porn episode she's going into a gangbang, then some random sex scenes with a lame story about horny old women and elders, then people die but the queen never gives a shit and keeps fucking a guy and then a kid dies when he sees her old saggy tits.

so thats my experience with it, is it all the same? 

You're making several assumptions that aren't accurate. That's all I'm saying.

i watched the entire first season, and while there is a bit of sexual content, but i really enjoyed watching this Show. and i cant wait for the next one. i found the Lore, the Characters and the actual Story to be damn interresting.

(i really think the more "mature" scenes are just there to give you a broader picture of the Character's.)

I'm not reading anything else in this thread. because i've just bought the blu ray and i'm on ep 2. so far i wouldn not agree its 'a peice of shit'. i thought the first ep was good, and the second episode was okay. to be honest i'm finding it difficult to follow with all the characters, and they throw you in at the deep end right at the beginning, so its difficult what to make of it.

the main reason i got it is because i've heard some people say the writing is better than Spartacus (which i can believe since its based on a popular book series); and the writing in Spartacus is phenominal, so i think it will all make sense by season's end.

personally i've heard only great things and i expect it will get much better. i'm definity going to give it a chance.

well i was interested to see what will happen next after the first few episodes, and i'd say it gets A.) Better, and it'll be B.) More understandable once you see the entirety that is this Show.

But if youre totally dissapointed in what you saw and didnt find ANYTHING that caught your attention, it might not be your show. I'd say watch a few more episodes, and if it doesnt get better, stop it, since it's not changing drastically later.

I've only watched the first episode and it didn't hook me. Spartacus hooked me immediately. I love fantasy though so I will definitely give GoT a proper chance later.

I wasn't hooked after the first 2 episodes.  Those felt very long, and they shoot a lot of characters and information at you in such a condensed manner.
But I kept watching because I enjoyed the setting, and had heard lots of good things about the show prior to watching it.  And because, seriously, it's just so great to see Boromir again! =D

But after the third episode concluded, I couldn't stop watching.
