I still hope for a Mario 64 remake! :)

We already had one for the DS. The best you can hope for is a downloadable version of the game from the eShop if Nintendo gets ambitious with their online strategy.

But what we had for DS was basically a port with more characters.
I`m talking about a full, deep remake by today`s standards: better visuals, better animations, a change on some challenges. Stuff like that.

In the DS version you had 4 times as many playable characters, each with unique moves, 30 extra stars to collect, 28 rabbits, and new controls and graphics. Maybe a reworked version of that for the 3DS would work? I'd spend $15 or $20 for SM64 with analog controls, 3D, and all the extra content.

I didn`t remember the game had all those changes... and it was my first DS game!
I doubt Nintendo would charge you that price and i don`t see N64 on 3DS' virtual console. I think they will only offer handheld games on 3DS' VC.

But it would be cool to have Mario 64 running on Galaxy`s engine! I think it would look great and it seeing as it has been 7 years since it was last released on DS, a revamp might still work. I can dream...

Here's hoping for a 20th anniversary version of SM64 for the 3DS latter in the system's life. Maybe Grezzo could do it? They've proven themselves capable of revamping classic games for Nintendo.

It`s going to turn 20 on 2016. That´s probably a farewell to 3DS... with a bang!

I thought the Pikmin team was the 2D Mario team. How are they doing 2 games at once? Did they employ another developer in or out of Nintendo for help?

Pikmin is being handled by the Kyoto EAD Team 4 development group which also developed New Super Mario Brothers Wii.

They could be using Tokyo EAD Team 1 which hasn't developed a full game by themselves since Super Mario Galaxy (Tokyo EAD Team 2 developed SMG 2).

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

"Wii is a toy" says Pavolink "only Mario games and Wii Sports sell on it".

"Kids and soccer moms are happy with their $5 games. Look at it and tell me is not a fad. It's not even HD" and continue "my Wii is colllecting dust somewhere"
