The spotpass feature reveals that the game does effectively have online leaderboards - something people have been asking for in the past few mario games. The note about regions competing for coin totals sounds like a great idea.

The game is going to be addicting!

I'm addicted collecting coins even if I don't need too... this will be heaven!

... or hell, depending on how you look at it.

I might be playing this game even after my corpse rotted away... XD

3DS no longer being sold at a loss, as of today

Nintendo has just confirmed it is no longer selling 3DS hardware at a loss. The change comes as of today, 25th July. The news was announced in addition to the company's latest financial report, detailed below.

While selling at a loss is not unusual for hardware manufacturers, it was a rare move by Nintendo. The company was forced to slash the price of the 3DS last summer in a bid to boost sales.

That article talks about 908.79m software sales. If that's true, VGChartz needs to update the DS' software count, because here on the charts it says 763.37m... :P What happened there?

Speaking during the latest Iwata Asks, director Yusuke Amano said: "Something I would like to boldly proclaim to people who have said that so far the series hasn't been that difficult is that this time you can play some challenging stages."

Also another thing, it seems you'll be able to switch characters in co-op mode when you ground pound on them. As showed in the NSMB 2 video above. Don't know if this is true, but it seems like it.

Someone needs to make an official Mario thread.

I plan to, as soon as I get some free time.

So don't hold your breath, folks.

What's the 3ds XL trade in thing? I haven't seen it.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I like the idea of that "Mario Cram School".

It's a very good way to get more people involved in one of the basis of the company, and also a way to get new points of view and ideas.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.
