I know you didn't say it, but your coins don't ever get wasted, you can use them all and they count towards platnium/gold so not sure what he was talking about.

Now that the weekly numbers are in, we can review how well 3DS games have done this year! Hardware is at 4,776,621 so far. Here are the top 11 games!

1. Mario Kart 7 – Nintendo - 1,852,466
2. Super Mario 3D Land – Nintendo - 1,652,055
3. Kid Icarus: Uprising – Nintendo - 778,869
4. Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D – Square Enix - 777,861
5. Resident Evil: Revelations – Capcom - 568,854
6. Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games – Sega - 544,431
7. Monster Hunter 3G – Capcom - 509,517
8. Fire Emblem: Awakening – Nintendo - 422,321
9. Nintendogs + cats – Nintendo - 387,657
10. Mario Tennis: Open – Nintendo - 360,843
11. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D – Nintendo - 347,669

Meanwhile, the Wii has two games in the top 10 so far: Just Dance 3 and Mario Party 9. And Xenoblade managed to crack the top 100 despite only coming out in America this year. And the DS has four games in the top 100, including the fairly huge Pokemon Black/White 2 and Pokemon Conquest.

All in all, could be better, could be worse.

They should, but there hasn't been enough big software yet this year. Don't worry though; the XL and Mario ought to put things back on track.
