"We’ve got 30 million PS3s (sales target) for this year"
there must by a typo or something...

Presumably, since it's being said by the head of Sony Europe, he's referring to Europe only... and therefore, to total install base, rather than annual sales number. The PS3 is currently at 25.2 million in Europe, so I assume he's saying that they're targetting another 4.8 million between now and... I assume March next year, since I can't see them making it by Christmas.

Between 4th of June 2011 and 31st of December 2011, Sony sold 3.95 million PS3s in Europe, according to vgchartz numbers. I can't see them managing 5 million this year in the same period, especially once you factor the Wii U in (no matter how well you expect Wii U to do, there's little doubt that a Wii U at roughly the same price as the PS3 will attract some interest from people who might otherwise have bought the PS3).

my bad

Amazing idea, really! This game keeps getting better and better.

I have high hopes for it, because with Mario U it can be the push Wii U needs in japan.

Dragon Quest X Free "Kids Time" Schedule Announced

Find out when you can log in and play without monthly service fees.

For most users, Dragon Quest X will require a ¥1,000 monthly subscription fee. For kids, or those willing to pretend to be a kid, the game can be played for free, but only for certain hours.

Today, Square Enix shared a schedule for the free "Kids Time" play periods. Log in from 16:00 to 18:00 Monday through Friday or 13:00 to 15:00 on Saturday and Sunday, and you'll be able to play for free. The game will save your progress and boot you off when the free play period ends.

Square Enix is going by the honor system for this Kids Time play period. There's no specific age restriction for Kids Time. Players are asked to understand that the free time period is meant for children.

The times for Kids Time were finalized based off surveys conducted at a demo event that was held for DQX in April, Square Enix says.

Many sites have protection against people simply linking their pictures on other websites (hotlinking)

so the picture will not load, what you can do is go to the website the picture is hosted at, copying the image url, once at the website, go to the image and it should load since your coming from the website itself. Alot of people have broken signatures or pictures and never realize it because these images are cached on their computer and appear to work.

Sony Admits Wii U Is A “Potential Risk” To PlayStation 3

Sony Europe boss Jim Ryan has confessed that Wii U is a potential risk to Sony’s PlayStation 3. Ryan says that although Nintendo’s forthcoming console is a potential risk, the company is extremely confident that the new IP’s they have been working on will pay dividends, and will ultimately brush off the threat of Wii U.

“It’s obviously a potential risk but we feel really good about our content. Obviously, it comes down to content. There are people who buy gadgets for the sake of the gadget, but that’s pretty niche. We feel good about our line-up that we showed at E3. We’re very excited about publishing it. We’ve got 30 million PS3s (sales target) for this year, it’s a big number but we’ve got the tools to go out and deliver that.”

I don't want the WiiU to be a threat to PS3; I want it to rival the PS4!!! I hope the specs are up for that...

I think the most important thing in that article is this:

"We’ve got 30 million PS3s (sales target) for this year, it’s a big number but we’ve got the tools to go out and deliver that.”

The hell? They expect to be up YoY by 200%???

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
