Forums - Sony - Golden Abyss sells 330,000 globally.

I've had no gripes with it so far, granted im only up to chapter 10. The action set pieces are great, and there's so much to do for what one would expect to be a linear experience. I've missed so many photos, charcoal drawings, artefacts, and glyphs, yet I can't even fathom where they were. I can see myself playing it at least one more time easily for collection completion, then a final time on crushing for a challenge.

Still a little disappointed Bend haven't announced anything content wise for it. They sort of hinted at multiplayer oriented DLC a while ago unless the articles lied.

That number seems low.

Edit: As everyone said 330k seems a bit more reasonable o.O.

Alright, 200k is just what I saw on the vgchartz homepage. Will change it

I'm guessing it will do about 2.5m.

Maybe 3-4mill if the Uncharted brand on Vita becomes stronger

Possibly 4-5mill if the Vita takes off.

Maybe it could reach 5-6m if Sony bundles this game.

Add in extra sales for Digital downloads and we're looking at a potential 8-10mill seller here, easy.

And that's only the first game. Future titles could trump this easily, selling 15-20m each.

We could be looking at the next Pokemon here, if not bigger.

i laughed alot

Where does 330k number come from.

If it's 65% of first week numbers it should be 400k+ including Japan sales

Still i think 2-3 milions. More if Sony decided for heavy bundling.

Oh I didn't realise it's around 100k in Japan already.

Then 330k should be considered only a low end estimate as there's unknown amount of digital sales too.

Add to that the game cost about $50. I imagine sales for this game will be really strong especially for the holidays.

Good number. I hope it gets leg as its predecessors.

i do not agree to anything after the second line but why not.

It would not do any arm to be so successul.

I really enjoy it. I platinumed it last night. Sony Bend should be proud of what they did because for once a second-hand dev didn't ruin a franchise.

Sony bend is better than Naughty Dog,  there I said it, and i'll probably  get banned for saying this once again , but its the truth.

Bend does games good, they make them GAMES , lots of interactivity , lots of things to do , and GAMEPLAY Elements , what Naughty Dog does (for uncharted, not jak/crash mind you) was create a scripted linear interactive movie-like game, its a very sad excuse to make a GAME with pretty graphics and one liners , without interesting GAMEPLAY elements, this is why i like Sony Bend much more , Syphon Filter is fun lots of unlockables  (not trophies/skins/concept art..ect), actual unlockables, like new weapons, new modes, new characters, new missions...ect, lots of sidemissions , lots of replayability, Bend ironically also did the best Resistance game in the series, they took the Resistance world, and made it actually interesting, gave it some character, and their game actually had a lot of replayability , and a backstory, more so than the "Main" resistance games (excluding Resistance 3 which is EXCELLENT) , for example when you get "Infected" your character can breath underwater, which unlockes you different areas in levels you couldn't go to if you weren't infected, you also get to unlock lots of extra stuff and there is actually "Secrets" you can find in the game, and the main character is actually interesting , unlike Nathan Hale which was the most boring and lazy characters ever made, both in design and in actual character
