No, they really don't. I mean, possibly, possibly playstation suite is set out to change that, but they need to catch up and fast.
Vita's main strengths right now is its 3g and apps. Its main weakness is not being a phone. Vita is Sony's counterattack and while they may be able to expand horizontally, ie; expand their portable base to include more console gamers, this is not a great move. It's a cautious one, and one that in the end may result in complete failure.

Well, I consider the difference being that I'm a Sony fan writing this, and not a Nintendo or MS fan. Granted they might have better punctuation or not ramble as much, but it's important to acknowledge some of the weaknesses and say to ourselves, "let's really enjoy this system and do what we can to support the things we like".
