I'm confused what this actually does?

Knowing that it is a law being passed by legislators anywhere in this world, however, I think I can conclude it is probably pretty stupid.

I disagree. Schools are not the place for this. Leave it to the parents of the family unit but no way will I ever support any pro gay or really pro anything in any school systems. Let the kids do their studies and let that be it. No agenda, no political association, no religious affiliation at all.

That is where I disagree with you. I believe sexuality can be influenced though. I don't believe it is in your DNA or anything, but rather events in your life that kead you to believe the things you believe. No religious angle and no political angle should be viewed in schools. We need to stop labeling people and treat everyone equally because honestly, I don't care what your beliefs are, what your sexuality is, or any of that nonsense and I believe the world would be a better place if others thought that way too. No one should force their beliefs on anyone.

What if the parents are biggots? You're left with a kid who will end up hating himself for what he is which can lead to severe mental health issues or suicide.

Look at the statistics from the CDC. It is a very dangerous activity for your health. That is my whole point. It has nothing to do with closed minded view point from the middle ages.
