No one is going to change anybody else's mind here. The fact is everyone has their own beliefs and no one has the right to impose theirs on other people including their children.
It's sufficient if we teach children to be kind to and respect ALL people. I think that's something we can all agree on.

Homosexuality isn't a belief though.

Yeah, Free speech is great, unless its speech i disagree with!!! only government aproved speech is allowed!!

its a good thing i live in America, where we still mostly have free speech. and "hate" speech is still protected. but dont worry we are well down the road to fascism... 1984 isnt too far away.

There is no need for inverted comma's, it's hate speech plain and simple, you need to understand that this isn't solely down to the government, people in general these days frown upon unprovoked attacks on homosexuality, even a lot of religious people.

Hate speech is frowned upon even in America, look at how the westboro baptist church are treated.

saying "gays must die" is much different than "homosexuality is wrong"

and still their speech is protected, even if its inconvienient speech.

and what is inverted commas?

"homosexuality is wrong" is still hate speech. I mean by all means discuss that in your own homes and have that opinion, but in public you should keep that to yourself.

well i would say my views, but unfortunately i cant.

edit: ironically enough what is just wrote there is the reason i support free speech

So you believe that homosexuality is a sin, a disease, unnatural or something else along these lines. Did you know that 73 % of all homophobes are actually homosexuals themselves?

And who determines what makes a homophobe? And where exactly did you get that percentage from?

I remember having a high school teacher telling our class the same thing.

So you are saying that if someone has a distate or for which ever reason does not like or accept homosexuality they are by definition a homophobe and that consequently there is a 73% chance that they are actually gay themselves? Surely you must realise how ridiculous that line of argument is,  that is unless you're not being serious.

The word homophobia has evolved as I'm sure you're already aware. Everyone knows what that word means now, gay hater, anti gay ect ect.

It's the haters Rol is talking about.

I guess we got a lot of homophobes in vgchartz....

no this sounds very logical. it's often so that people who hate something are very equal to exactly that or like something which is equal to that. i see those people all the time for a lot of different things.

no clue if this is the case for homophobics as well^^

btw good night :)

The problem is saying homosexuality is wrong is like saying being blonde is wrong. It really is a senseless argument.

I believe in your freedom of speech to say what you will (that still doesn't mean you can do so in a moderated forum, just like you can't troll consoles etc. because by signing up you're agreeing to the rules here). But saying being homosexual is wrong is just dumb...

And I really doubt "their" (who? all gays? they all have the same ideas?) speech is protected any more than yours.

It all comes down to realising they are normal human beings. The problem with people with your attutide is that they dehumanise groups of people, be it gays, blacks or whatever. They are normal people with normal lives with many different opinions. I've known gay people who hate gay people who are "out and proud" (his own words) and very conservative, and I've known gay people who are "out and proud", and everything in between. Left wing, right wing, religious, non religious, amazing people and horrible people, but never any worse just for being gay.

They all had their individual personalities and they are no worse than you or me. Perhaps if you met some nice people who happen to be gay you would realise how normal and harmless they are, and how pointless it is to see them as a threat.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

Homophobia and bigotry is in the Republican Party DNA. Religious Right god squad pushing their archaic views onto America.

@seece
You BELIEVE it's ok to stick your cock up another man's dirty asshole. I BELIEVE it's an abhorent behavior. You're 100% entitled to your belief and to live your life how you see fit. You have absolutely no right to teach my children in any way, shape or form that this is acceptable behavior.

Disagreeing with another person's behavior is NOT hate speech.

* Sorry to be blunt but i needed to make my point.
