Well, what it says here. What year was the best year for the DS. In terms of games I mean.

2004: Super Mario 64 DS (LOL)

2005: Nintendogs, Mario Kart DS, Advance Wars: DS, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Kirby: Canvas Curse, Sonic Rush, Phoenix Wright, Castlevania: DS

2006: New Super Mario Bros, Elite Beat Agents, Metroid Prime: Hunters, Tetris DS, Final Fantasy 3, Pokemon Ranger

2007: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Contra 4, Mario Party DS

2008: Chrono Trigger, The World Ends With You, Professor Layton, Rhythm Heaven, Final Fantasy 4, Ninja Gaiden: DS

2009: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, GTA: Chinatown Wars, Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Pokemon Platinum, Scribblenauts

All of them, really. I really can't choose.
There are so many games missing in that list, that makes it even harder to pick a year.

Ok, ok... if I had to choose I'd pick 2007.

Zelda was amazing (genius perhaps) and Picross DS is still one of my most played games on the system.
But 2005 with animal crossing and brain age, and bomberman and Mario Kart and...

I really can't say 2004 and 2005 because look at this

This is the ugliest thing nintendo ever released! Compared to the sexy GBA SP and it was a major disapointment! Thank god for DS lite!

It didn' look like that at any point. That's a mock-up or an early prototype.

Early prototype. But the real ds phat is not much prettier than that. In fact its uglier in some points!

Well, that's your opinion. I remember back in '05 when I got it and thought of it as a massive power house handheld :')

It was, but like in the real world, there are beautiful houses and ugly houses, and DS was ugly. DS Lite is light years ahead of it in beauty! It's even prettier than the 3DS, imo.

BTW I'm kidding, I'm not choosing a year for the design of system. 2005 was a epic year for the DS, game-wise.
