No, it just means Uncharted is the biggest launch game they got in EU/NA. Do you think an original Call of Duty or GTA wouldn't sell as much at launch? |
GTA might, but CoD will probably sell fairly badly. At least compared the console versions.

I'd say that CoD is still going to be a easy multi-million seller unless the game is just really bad. Activision will have to do a whole lot for it to not do well.

To have uncharted sell 2:3 with every system sold is GREAT for the franchise. This is a positive step for Sony's direction, and makes them a more worthy competitor to the others by that same effect. Good! |
Unlikely. Uncharted is the showcase title at launch, alot of reviews expose as quite an average game with brilliant gfx but the scores are inflated for launch title sake. had the Vita been brimming with other titles of the same quality i doubt its numbers would be so high. Any big 3rd party titles like FF, GTA, COD, Metal gear or would probably still trample Uncharted in terms and sony need to get them on the Vita!
COD will only be a game changer if they sell the multiplayer as a stand alone $30 maybe $40 title and allow it to connect with your ps3 COD. As for 1st parties, i suspect resistance and killzone will fail whilst LBP will do incredibly well.

it starts off weak but as you get further in you realise if any stuido besides Naughty Dog was going to make Uncharted.. it should be Sony Bend. its not even close to how good 2 or 3 is but its about level with 1. and 1 is fantastic. you will really enjoy it if you enjoy uncharted

After 3, I'm all Charted out I think I'll wait a year to play GA because I like the 2yr gap and I'm a fan of only having a maximum of 3 games in a story driven series. GA just doesn't strike me as a must have, not saying it's not good, just not hyped...

fair enough :)
personally i cant wait for Uncharted 4 but i want it to be on PS4. so im guessing we have a good 3 years before we see that which will be a nice break

GTA may very well beat UC: Top PSP game
FF is a maybe: Series has been in decline
Not Metal Gear: barely beats UC on consoles, Peace Walker didn't do super well.
COD is a huge wildcard: many people doubt its ability in the portable space, sales on PSP weren't super exciting either (consider even MoH).

Plus, I was talking about Sony's 1st/2nd party sorry if unclear. In this case, UC beats LBP in brand power.

In quality, I haven't played either, not even on Vita so I couldn't tell ya, but if PS3 sales are an indicator, UC wins. Then again, LBP is more suited for touch portable gaming, so LBP may have a better long-term curve than UC, but I doubt it. I see UC continue its 2:3 trend for most of Vita's existence without a UC sequel.
The point of my post was to say that a game which sells side-by-side with a Sony system is GREAT news for the manufacturer. We haven't seen that happen since Crash Bandicoot or GT3 really. It's fantastic news.
