Yeah, cute - you can probably guess what I'm going to ask you already, right?

Actually I can't. My L2 biotic enhancements are bugging out so I can't read your mind at the moment.

Also I'm not here to ruin the thread. My earlier comment was just an extension to Kantor's joke. Sorry if it was taken the wrong way. I'm actually quite hoping to be pleasantly surprised by ME3 given ME1 is my personal favourite game of the gen. And I must admit they've done a fine job with the co-op (I already mentioned that in the demo thread).

To talk about the shit in Mass Effect that interests you. I wouldn't ask you to piss off; you're a good member and your input is valued.

So what class did you play in multi? I think I've dicked around with all of them except for.... well no I've even played Soldier now.

I like the Quarian Engineer. This is the first time I've ever enjoyed playing an Engineer (at least since ME1)

I loved the first trailer, Bioware's CG is brilliant, and the idea of having to save the earth is brilliant. I played the first game and gave it away after about 8 hours, it didn't exactly sweep me off my feet, but I got it back and I'm going to give it another go.

I've only got one character going right now. I use the demo as a sort of breather between long study sessions and devote my more allocated gaming time to full on games (I'm juggling 4-5 other RPG's besides the ME3 demo right now). I've got a lvl 6 Human Vanguard. My first play throughs of both ME1 and ME2 were Vanguards so I went with that for the demo. I haven't had the priviledge to actually play the demo in co-op yet. Which system are you playing it on? I need more Origin friends.

I don't believe I've ever fully gone through the game as an Engineer (either ME1 or ME2) but I've started (played at least half way through) at least one character in each game using each type of class, except Soldier. I've actually never touched the Soldier class in any ME game. Besides Vanguard the only other class I really enjoy playing as is Adept.

Regarding my comment earlier, the stuff that interested me in ME1 is the stuff that let me down in ME2 (and I believe you and I have discussed this before in the ranking game thread... or that might've been Kantor. I get you guys mixed up. Anyways, things like main cast, more action than exploration oriented gameplay, major side-track storyline, over-emphasis on making the game "cool" with cinematic flare) which is why I've been skeptical about ME3. Consider my negativity more a mechanism for me to not get hyped for this game rather than a means to shit on it for everyone else. I've made it clearly known that I will be buying it eventually and will probably enjoy a hand full of playthroughs as different classes.

I play on Xbox; I'll pick it up on Origin when EA has some kind of bundle deal for all three games with the DLC.

I've never liked Soldier either, which is a little bit of a shame because they were easily the best class in ME1 due to Immunity. The krogan soldier in ME3's multiplayer is the only Soldier I've ever actually liked playing, and he's mostly a melee machine for me.

And I don't really participate in the ranking game threads, I'm willing to bet it was Kantor.

Engineers are neat in this one, though. On the face, yeah, they remain similar, but in co-op it's a little bit different because the group dynamic changes things up. THat little turret you get? Goes from being a lump to being a good scout and a good damage sponge (for a few seconds) and a good method of distracting the enemy. I set mine up to shoot fifteen-foot jets of flame at anyone near it. It's really kind of magical.

That CG won't be in the game in most likelyhood. :P. It's advertising.

I'd say play ME2, instead of retrying ME1. It's also more relevant if you like it, because you can use your save if like for ME3. Based on certain opinions you've had on other games. I might think that fits you more. Not sure though!

Or just buy ME3. But, ME2 is extremely cheap.

The PC versions DLC, haven't ever gone on Sale to my recollection. Theres been a % off all EA sale.  That doesn't mean they won't. But origin doesn't have sales like Steam.

Is the reason why you're not buying it on PC because of your character, or more friends on xbox?

I believe there was a sale on DLC, but I don't recall whether it was on Steam (part of the EA sale) or on the Cerberus Network when it was cheaper. I got all the DLC and I didn't pay full price for them (I only got ME2 on the PC a year or so afterwards it's release, since I had the 360 version previously which I had to sell).

I am currently blasting through one last Insanity Vanguard runthrough of ME2 in preparation for ME3. I must... succeed!

I know the feeling, as my latest playthrough is still on Mass Effect 1, I'm going through that as well of 3 of my Mass Effect 2 save files and completing all assignments that I have missed. Hopefully will pay dividends when those files are eventually imported into Mass Effect 3. Not got time for another full playthrough of Mass Effect 2 though, I already got one save file pending in addition to the half finished one. The galaxy better be thankful when I'm done.

I've got three profiles set up that I'm going to do initial runthroughs on. After that I'll do a few more (probably three) complete runthroughs, ME1->ME2->ME3. After that I'll probably stay on ME3 a while, moving back primarily to ME2 as I feel the need.

But then I'm sure more alignment and romance and gender combinations will occur to me, and I'll want to experience them myself.

I could keep playing these games for a long time, I guess.

I do tend to prefer more streamlined and fast paced games, that was my main issue with Mass Effect, I could spend ages a world which I didn't find very interesting.
