I'd just like to chime in here ASAP, as a big TGC fan, I've studied their philosophy of game design and their ambitions. It's pretty obvious where they are headed.

So before kids start goin "omg thatgamecompany on ecks bawks & Wii U"

Nope. TGC wants to hit the mainstream, HARD. Consoles aren't popular enough.
iOS & Android is their next stop.

I'm guessing smartphones too, they've always put a lot of emphasis on reaching their players with their games, and I can't imagine they would be satisfied with a smaller userbase when they have a chance to reach a much larger one.

I'm just hoping they keep Windows Phone 7 in mind if they do go to smartphones.

keep the ps3/vita in mind as well please

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Would be sad to see them go multiplat but they're far too talented to be just working within PlayStation. Just hope they don't forget their roots and keep the quality support alongside whatever else they do.

makes sense 2 me.

I thought iOS and Android were pretty open to developers, so who are they "in the process of negotiating" with?

They might still need funding to complete the project they want to make, so it could easily mean they're negotiating with EA or Ubisoft for example.

True, but I don't get the impression from the statement that funding is the issue, especially if iOS/Android development is as cheap as some make it out to be. Time will tell, though.

To be fair, I don't think there's really anything that can be derived from that statement, other than there's something being negotiated over. And smartphone games aren't necessarily cheap to make, Infinity Blade cost nearly two million dollars to make.

I shouldn't be surprised by that figure. And yet I am!
