By the way, I forgot to take a pic of the third day, but still means that it's not selling.

Err this doesnt prove anything? Each day things get restocked.

It has been selling in the three cities I have visited recently and also my home town (Newark, Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati) In my home town at Bestbuy I witnessed 5 purchases in front of me at the checkout line. The rest were at Gamestop/Target/Wal-Mart one purchase each except Gamestop were I saw 2 while in the stores. I see the hype but also the negative hype. But I believe the Vita will do just as well as the PSP in the long run.

@markers So, what you're saying is that everyday someone is buying a Vita and everyday they restock the same Wi-Fi units? In the same excat order and place? I don't think so!

Later than Sony fans think.
Sooner than Xbox / Nintendo fans think.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Really no matter what the sales are Sony can't afford a price cut right now, they can cut memory card prices to help it along but right now they need every cent they can get.

Former something....

I'm going to wait until we have a good understanding of how the PS-Vita is selling a month after its launch before I say the PS-Vita needs a price cut, but I also wouldn't be surprised if the PS-Vita saw a significant price reduction within the first 6 months.

Brazil's prices:

Wi-fi
R$ 1600 = USD 937.64

No 3G for brazilians
So if they don't cut the damn prices I'll expecting see Vita at hell.

Honestly, I would consider buying one if it was around $199.

Sony is an idiot   idiotic, if it thinks the vita will do better here than it did in japan with these insane prices.

Fixed, I think. Sony isn't a person, so they can't be an idiot.

OT: It depends on sales. But I'll say sometime this year.

I don't like these options. I don't know if anyone here can really determine if Sony is or is not making a profit, or much of one, at the current set up. At $160 for production you have to add in wholesaler cut, retail cut, and the other costs associated with the device like R&D and that $50 million dollar ad campaign. I don't think the price will drop for 1 to 2 years.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

You obvisoulsy don't understand the complexities of the world market or in any case, done your homework.  The Japanese exchange equivelant price of a Wifi only Vita is $312.   Imagine paying that for a Vita instead of the $250.  The US is getting special treatment because we've proven ourselves time and time again a bunch of whiny little babies....well I guess also because of the difficult economy, but Europe isn't getting as big of a break as us, especially considering they through those launch bundles at us.  True, the high price in Japan is because of the strong Yen, but just think, if the Vita is selling what it is in Japan at that price, it should be just fine elsewhere.  Speculation of course, but there is a lot of analysis out there pointing to a stronger western release.  Will the West adopt a handheld as vigorously as Japan, probably not, but the psp is still selling well over there and not here so a market looking for a new product is here.
