Forums - Nintendo - Convince me to buy a 3DS!

Easily done. Go into a shop, get them to bung Resident Evil Revelations into a 3DS and get them to go into options and turn up the 3D full blast. Try out the game, pick your jaw up off the ground and give them your money.

Why should you buy a 3DS? It has the best games available on a portable console right now. That's the only reason to buy any console--the best games.

The main reason why you need more than one account on the 360 and PS3 is an overarching achievement system, so that others don't mess with your stats. Since the 3DS has nothing of that sort, it doesn't need multiple accounts.

The 3DS friend code is a twelve digit number that needs to be entered once. That's about the same amount of effort it takes to enter a username of somebody you want to add to your friends list on the 360 and PS3. Usernames can be shorter than twelve letters, but they can also be longer.

So I honestly tell you that Nintendo's system is better, because there's no need to constantly log out and log in when multiple people use the same system.

Im more likely to remember someones name that a series of random numbers thrown together, so the friend codes will always suck to me. You think Ninty has a better system(what a surprise). I dont, we can just leave it at that

Well, I can run a laptop and a video game system at the same time, so I don't need to remember friend codes. I just type them off from one screen to another.

No response to the constant need of having to log in and out when using multiple accounts. It annoyed the hell out of me on the Xbox 360, but if you think that a constant hassle is preferable to the once and done affair on the 3DS, okay. Whatever floats your boat.

If you are referring to having to sign in a seperate account on 360 just to play a multiplayer game, you are right that is stupid, Luckily for me I have PS3 instead of 360

Mario Kart 7.  nough said.

I was refering moreso to singleplayer games. You need to switch accounts to have access to different save states and get unlocked achievements counted towards your overarching profile. The latter isn't important, if you don't care for achievements, but the former is a must, if you want to continue a game on your save file.

I have not problem with that method at all, i cant tell you how many times a dumb family member or friend save over one of my files, yeah there are multiple saves, but those are limited and they still manage to screw it up sometimes, with multi accounts I dont have that problem

Ended up grabbing my 3DS 3 days ago. I'm enjoying the Hell out of MK7! Sooooo good. And anyone wondering about being able to use the 3DS' online through a laptop or PC being used as a wi-fi hotspot I can tell you that it is possible, and quite easy to do.

I tried Connectify first and had issues, so I downloaded and installed "Virtual Router" instead and it works like a charm. Turns my laptop into a wi-fi hotspot that the 3DS has no problem connecting to. Takes 30 secs to download, and 15 secs to install. All you have to do is rceate a password for the wifi connection it gives off.

I am sorry to hear that.

It's not really a good argument though, because not everyone has to deal with dumb people.

options are options, better to have the option to have multiple accounts than not have it at all, IMHO

Have a Funtime with your 3DS Funtime. You should pick up RE:revelations, it's awesome.

If you need to be convinced to buy something, you shouldn't buy it imo.

Glad to hear that you bought your 3DS.
