Forums - Sony - Do You Remember Tokyo Jungle? It got a Makeover - New Screens UPDATE: Trailer added

the Bear is like a Boss!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

I think someone at Sony developed this game with their penis.

What the fuck is this?

Tokyo Jungle has two modes: Story and Survival[1].

In Story Mode, the player plays through missions centered around various animals. Eventually, the player will discover the truth behind mankind's disappearance[2]. A Pomeranian dog and thoroughbred racehorse are key characters in the story[1].

In Survival Mode, the player takes control of an animal and fight for survival against other animals for as long as possible. Tokyo Jungle has online leaderboards so the players can compare their survival skills against one another[1]. Smaller animals will fight in groups, and the player's group can win fights against larger animals by just having one of the group survives the fight[2].

The player will have to build up a pack of animals. This is easier for some plant eaters, which means the player may not necessarily be at a disadvantage even if a weaker type was chosen[2].

There are 50 breeds and 80 types of animals to be expected[2]. Animals confirmed for Tokyo Jungle include lion, crocodile, tiger, giraffe, chimpanzee, hippo, cheetah, chimpanzee, gazelle, chicken, beagle, tyrannosaurus, hyena, and fox[1]. As the player plays through the game, additional playable animals will be unlocked[2].

[edit] Plot

[edit] Story

In 20XX, mankind left Earth leaving animals to fend for themselves. The once busy streets of Tokyo are now home to lions, tigers, chickens, and various other animals. All of them are now fighting for survival[1].

[edit] Character

  • Pomeranian dog

Ran out of pet food, the Pomeranian dog now has to fend for itself in a now-wild-and-vicious Tokyo[6].

  • Thoroughbred racehorse

With its passion for running still burns, the Thoroughbred racehorse runs around Tokyo, searching for its old track rivals in hopes of staging one more race[6].

Why not? content is th deciding factor in a disk vs blu ray format. As long as the game has the content to justify it there should be no issue..unless u know somthing I dont

Oh I see... this has more to do with being a shallow gamer not actually with the game itself. There is nothing that even gives aslight  hint to the size of the game.

Disgaea looks like a PS1 game but ask anybody that plays it.. it goes on for 100's of hours.

* u gotta stop abusing gifts.

This looks incredibad.

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

indeed but Disgaea is a great looking 2D game...and it got anime style visuals with fits great with it and cause of that it even look better...but this Tokyo Jungle just dont look good...i love playing old games but just because they are really old and it couldnt get better at the time but this release in 2012 and isnt even a online game just for PSN and looks like something Sony found in a developing-box from the year 1996...

and you love my anime gifs
