Well they probably can't afford a price cut, nor would the board and wider shareholders approve. The difference is that Nintendo released a product where they could cut the price a few months after launch and remain profitable, Sony has to pay for the kitchen sink of features they put in.

Well, the 3DS is still making a loss and overall Nintendo arnt profitable right now, they should be soon enough though, I guess with the money they've earnt last gen they can afford 1 year of losses.

Oops. Still losing money, honey? I assumed that they had a great profit margin on their device, ooops!

Tease.

BS from Sony. Sony has spent a ton promoting the vita, and they aren't going to let the vita collapse after a few months. Expect a price cut, I've got an awesome BS detector

lol to say price drop plans just undermines the handheld about to launch

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Didn't they announce sometime back that the 3DS would become profitable in March/April?

That means the loses aren't as big as we "like" them to be?

Nintendo was saying the exact same thing in June and July of last year... and we all know how that turned out. My prediction is that Vita gets a price drop sometime after E3 but before the holiday season kicks into high gear, so prolly late summer / early fall.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Pointless story tbh.

Well when it does happen or a nice bundle and also not to mention i hope i have enough money then i will strike!

Eh, somehow I think they'll change their tune pretty quick when the sales are underwhelming out the gate, like Nintendo did.

Nice speculation, but it will most likely be a nice bundle offer during the holidays.  Maybe a memory card, a game, or a digital game.  Or some combination.  Sony is not going to drop the price until at least 1 year after world wide launch and it could be even longer than that......well maybe not in Japan.  Their Vita prices are pretty steep, they would be the first to receive any price reduction, but again it will be a while before it happens.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

April - December, that keeps getting misinterpreted by Nintendo fans.
