^If only it was in-game

If only man!

Hey does anyone know if Cerberus Daily News on Mass Effect 2 is definitely restarting tomorrow (Tuesday 21st). Pretty sure Bioware said it would go from 2 weeks prior to Mass Effect 3's launch, and if I've got the dates right that is 2 weeks from the North American launch.

Don't know if it's "definitely", but I believe you are correct in that they would/will restart the CDN for a while starting tomorrow.

Just played it today. Tried the multiplayer as Vanguard first and was spawned into the middle of a fire fight in which I got shot and killed from behind. Not fun.

Second game though I had a team who had obviously played MP for a bit already and knew what to expect. Had a lot of fun playing as Vanguard although it took me a while to remember I had hotkeys instead of pressing shift for Biotic Charge, lol.

Tried to stay away from Single Player but failed. It seemed to setup the main game quite nicely and had a few "whoa" moments. Was nice to see Ashley with her hair down too . The second part was the same section I'd played on 360 at Eurogamer Expo although it had some extra dialog this time. I really do enjoy playing as Vanguard

Anyway, I thought it was pretty good. Didn't have any graphical or lip sync problems on PC, in fact it looked pretty damn good at 1920x1080 on my rather old 4850. Now I just need to complete my female Shephard on ME2 and I'm good to go. Bring on the 9th March!

It does make a huge difference having a good team. My first couple of games were with a friend of mine who, to be honest, was pretty crap at ME2, and was also new to the ME3 multiplayer, and we couldn't get past Wave 3. Since then, I've managed to finish a couple of times with really brilliant teams (sign of a brilliant team - three of you die and the fourth finishes the objective and wipes out the rest of the wave alone). Interestingly, the game doesn't seem to need voice chat at all, so it's less about co-operation and more about not being terrible.

I'm glad you enjoyed seeing Ashley. Kaidan was an insufferable bastard as usual (especially now that he outranks me) and I'm regretting not letting him die.

It's not at the top of the gen for graphics or anything, but they're solid and don't detract from the experience. Bring on 9th March indeed (stupid EA and their non-WW releases)

You're right about the team. It was fun when I had a decent team with (to be honest I was the weak link being completely new to multiplayer), but when everyone else is struggling it's not always the best. Perhaps they'll feature balanced match making in the final game to help out new players... then again, that might suck for the experienced players.

With the graphics I'm impressed with the look and scope they've managed to get with a stable frame rate on a relatively old GPU.  I might be a bit annoyed if I had a decent card and felt it wasn't making full use of the hardware, but for me, it looked great (relatively speaking).

And lol at Kaiden. I only let him live on one of my 4 playthroughs. I just couldn't let Ash die

So I tried out Silver difficulty and now I have no self-esteem left.

I think I'll go back to pretending that Bronze is the only difficulty level.

In order to get through Silver, one would need a team.

A good team.

A good team with guts.

...You're a PS3 player, aren't you.

PC. Master race and all that.

And despite this, nobody seems to have a headset or, like me, can't be bothered to use it because nobody else does.

I'm beginning to get annoyed with the whole booster pack system. I don't WANT one-use shotgun upgrades. I don't even use a shotgun!

I hope they add (or the full game already has) different kinds of packs - for example, an adept pack, an infiltrator pack, a soldier pack, and so on. Come to think of it, most things related to weaponry are useless for an Adept because no self-respecting Adept carries more than one weapon.

Is the MP fun? Back when I tried it there was no one online because of the early access, haven't had time to try it since, but if it's good I'll try and do a few games this week.

@ Your new post, people who don't have or use a headset **** b****!
