i started my 360 and an update rolled out... very strange... anyone had it ?

Nope, I was thinking earlier about that Metro promotional video they released last year prior to Metros release, that had 'Light UI Release Spring' in it for one of the shots.

Perhaps something to do with that.

If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out and asked to accept the update and you’ll be back online in a few moments.

This update will increase performance and is part of our continued effort to provide the best possible Xbox LIVE experience. In this update, we are providing a fix to a color issue that some were experiencing, and it will be immediately notable in the dashboard. The fix is also being applied by partners to their apps on Xbox LIVE, which we expect to roll out over the coming months.

I know this is quite off-topic, but I really wish that the new dashboard would apply to Kinect users only, or at least be optional. The last one was great all around, this one I can't stand...

Just downloaded the update. Took 10 minutes. FUCK YOU MICROSOFT!!!

Nice. Just had it. Colours do look alot better. The update also carries with it some kinect voice improvements among other kinect software enhancements.

I like to see these updates. I'm invested in live and Zune for the rest of my media watching, listening and playing life. Ms have provided a great service for me.

Yes, update for the black to grey bug in videos. I'll be checking out the Zune video store tonight to see what I've missed.

I had an update, but it didn't fix the black level for me. The black bars above and below the Zune previews are black, but the black level in the movies is still grey. It seems the whole color range is squashed. According to the waveform tool on my display the range of the movie content still is 30-220 instead of 16-235. No full black and no full white.

I have it set to hdmi color space YCbCr709, dashboard and games look great, video still looks bad.
