I was talking about within a year of each other, but it is true that NSMB Wii and SMG2 came out within 6 months of one another, though they are completely different series of games.

why do people care about rol's take? he has done nothing but bash all the games that nintendo has come out with in the recent months. sure, he will be happy he gets his 2d side scrolling mario platformer, but seriously, if he is going to sit there and say super mario 3d land was a waste and they should have made a 2d one instead, he has some serious delusion. super mario 3d land was absolutely brilliant. if that game didn't turn him, then there is no helping him. nothing we can do.

On the Rol thing, I was kind of kidding around. I really don't care that much but I know he wanted a 2D Mario so that's why I said it. :)
